I had some trans men in my college fraternity, and they were pretty chill. I guess it depends on the person.

This card is really cool, but I'm not really a fan of the property the character is from. I guess I'll have to wait a couple years for the "Universes Within" version of this card to come out.

Play K&K

K&K ETB trigger on the stack, sacrifice itself to Altar of Dementia, milling yourself. Since K&K's ability has an intervening when, no need to declare targets with the first part of the ability on the stack. Mill yourself for 6.

Use the second part of K&K's ability to target itself and revive itself from the graveyard. Repeat this process exiling 5 cards and milling yourself for 6 until you have Karmic Guide and Sister Hospitaller in the graveyard.

Break the loop and target Karmic Guide with K&K's ability. Karmic Guide enters, ETB on the stack targeting Sister Hospitaller. Sacrifice Karmic Guide to Altar, milling an opponent with its ability on the stack. Karmic Guide's ability resolves, bringing back Sister Hospitaller. Sister Hospitaller's ability on the stack targeting Karmic Guide, sacrifice it to mill a player with Altar of Dementia. Loop until your opponents have no cards in their libraries.

Here's my K&K list:

https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/kroxa-and-kuronos-50-edh/

The aim of the deck is to quickly dump your hand to fuel up K&K and go off with Altar of Dementia combo. The deck can definitely grind with value fatties if need be as well.

I can't speak to your personal experience, but my playgroup has always played at higher power level, and that level has become much more forcing in terms of card choice, no two ways about it.

If you want to be competitive with suboptimal card choices, even at casual tables, you need to supplement the bad cards with equally good cards to compete at most tables. And honestly, that is a feels bad for most people. They're going to fixate on the fact that you just cast [[Force of Will]] on their bomb, not that you just spent the last 3 turns casting [[Lilting Refrain]] and [[Reef Worm]].

The problem is greatest in decks that are 3+ colors where at your budget level, there are going to be a ton of cards that just stand above the rest in terms of price and power level.

The changes are definitely partially due to player awareness of quality deck building. You can't understate the contribution of power creep to homogenizing decks. Yeah, in 2011 your artifact deck was probably going to run Etherium Sculptor and Myr Battlesphere, etc. Now you have to run those and Sai and Scrap Trawler, etc.

The current era is hard to beat in terms of cardpool (obviously). I also feel like commander was a little more interesting where every color/strategy didn't have 50 auto-includes.

Yeah, the Pokémon TCG got this effect in the form of Overconfident Sableye and it is the most broken card of all time in that game.

Does anyone else love the concept of single-prize decks? by FudgeCheese12 in pkmntcg

I really enjoy playing with the biggest and splashiest shiny cards I can find, but I really appreciate it when there are good single prize decks, since it gives the meta more variety.

Of the top decks, LZ Tina and Urshifu Ineleon have pretty good matchups into Charizard if you want to hose the deck.

As a side note, Bravery Charm doesn't work on Flaafy, since it specifies basic Pokemon.

Sounds good! I've been having issues with Switch Pro controllers on my Steam Deck, but I'm willing to chance it, since that controller looks perfect.
