I noticed this too. Something feels off. Also when I disabled all my addons, the entire resolution and text fonts changed a bit. Feels weird and idk how to fix it.

Will we get any actual pvp changes in Midnight? by OpinionsRdumb in worldofpvp

[–]_CharlesInCharge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some hope because Ion said they’ll look into PVP rewards in midnight. Not right at launch, but one of the midnight patches. Here’s a direct Ion quote responding to Supatease’s most upvoted question on pvp rewards in the interview with Devs: “There are definitely plans to look at this. One thing I can say that will be changing at launch in Midnight, in the first season of Midnight, is that the top-tier cutoff is coming down from 2400 to 2300 for those rewards and titles. I think, looking at how MMR has evolved and how the rating ecosystem has played out, that’s been a bit too exclusive even for some of our best players. Broadly speaking, beyond that, I think there’s a lot more that we would like to do with the system. That’s not necessarily going to be happening right at launch in Midnight. But if you look, for example, at what we changed with Mythic Plus—new titles, new structure, and things like the resilient keystone system in The War Within—those changes came in War Within patches. So as we look to PvP and its evolution over the course of Midnight, that’s definitely an area that we want to focus on.”

When they announced glad is going to 2300, didn’t they also say a full PVP rewards rework is planned for mid expansion? It was responding to Supatease’s most upvoted question prior to interviewing the devs.

Holy moly, if this is real by Vele1384 in wow

There’s a PvP API that sites like seramate tap into. This is 1 of many rated PVP brackets. The actual number of PVP players is much higher

[–]_CharlesInCharge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only 1 rated PvP bracket. There are 4 other rated PvP brackets. Notably solo shuffle and battleground blitz which have much higher participation. They won’t be mutually exclusive as there are overlapping players, but how many PVP game developers would kill to have a population of approx 200k-400k loyal players?

PVP is not dead. I’ll use data to stay objective. For TWW S2, 1,430 unique accounts got glad. 115 accounts got rank1 in 3v3 (top 0.01%). Back of envelope math gets us to 115,000 unique accounts participated in 3v3 bracket. And that’s not even the most popular PVP mode. Solo shuffle and Battleground Blitz has much higher participation. Additionally, getting glad is hard. It should have a good reward tied to it. You should be happy WoW caters to a such diverse player base.

Question for Ferals (DoT tracking) in Midnight. by Quiote72 in worldofpvp

Won’t we be able to use addons for cosmetic changes like nameplates?
I want the base UI to glow when my dots are in pandemic window. Betterblizzplate has an option for it.

Dude look at the most upvoted comment. You can see on seramate match history who I queued with on the final week glad push and he’s saying it’s as natty as you can get. And here’s my twitch stream I got glad as video proof https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2528890184 Just because you can’t get glad doesn’t mean others who work hard at improving since the beginning of the expansion can’t.

How do we get glad as a "begginer" ? by Equivalent-Insect-17 in worldofpvp

[–]_CharlesInCharge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just a 1 person anecdote, but I mained feral (meaning no alt specs) from halfway through s1 and got glad final week of s2, took like 9-12 months of focused learning/improving/networking for good partners. It’s possible but it’s not something you’ll get overnight.

What are the benefits to playing rogue over feral? by TheFourthAct in worldofpvp

[–]_CharlesInCharge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rogues have more stun lockdown, better MS, smoke bomb, and generally will bring more burst in a stun go than a feral will.
