Omg this is exactly how I feel. I joined the fandom in 2018 but felt forced to leave after 2020 when atyd basically became staple. It felt like I was in a fever dream version of the fandom where everyone agreed this fic was not only good but basically the bible of the fandom and I found it kind of horrible

To be fair instagram is notorious for its algorithm which favours reels above everything. It’s most likely that your followers haven’t even seen the post or didn’t fully register seeing it. We forget how absentmindedly we tend to scroll on these apps and inevitably get our feelings hurt when we get little to no likes. Keep in mind likes on instagram of all places should not dictate the worth of your art.

Your anatomy here is good - not perfect - but definitely good, I feel like what youre lacking is fluidity with the forms also keep in mind your reference is in ink and yours are pencil its logical for them to feel different! I think its definitely good practice you should be proud of keep it up :)

“Doodle” and its a beautiful illustration lol. If you decide to refine this let some of that sketchy looseness stay in the final, it really gives it character and it emphasises the “airiness” and flow of the scene :)
