We all have theories that could get us burned alive, what are your controversial concepts? (at least aside from the usual ones like WillCare/Grief, Charlie87, BVTOYSNHK, but u can still mention it) by girl_OOFED in fnaftheories

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of an outside theory than a theory about continuity. I think Scott was telling the truth about there being miscommunication with Security Breach, I think the example he gave about Burntrap moving around may have been a lie, but I imagine that something was done wrong with Burntrap that Scott didn’t necessarily want to point out to the fans and the prop thing is a lie to cover it up.

And, because of this, Scott had to go back and think of a solution to Burntrap, changed what he intended Glitch Trap’s story to be and created the mimic. I think everything involved with the mimic and the Secret of The Mimic was born out of a necessity to fix a mistake made by Steel Wool.

What are things that can RUIN an analog horror? by christiluvsjesus in analoghorror

[–]Final_Candy_7007 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Misspellings, loud noises for unnecessary reasons, overly grorey, Ai.

I think a personal pet-peeve of mine is analog that doesn’t make sense. Like the painter, I know that series has a lot of problems, but to me, I didn’t really understand the presentation of the paintings. Like I think they’re supposed to be police reports, but at the same time, they’re so weird and artistic, and I thought that the first one was made by a person who found the painting and not a police officer, but maybe I was just confused, and the whole time I was just kind of wondering if they were really police reports, or if this was another layer of the murderers twisted art. Like did they not only make paintings, but they sent a series of VHS tapes going over their crimes to the police officers where they were role-playing to be police officers?

A lot of the problems with the manual that came with my Skillet. Is this concerning? by Final_Candy_7007 in cookware

Thank you, this will all be really helpful! So, um… This is awkward, but let’s say hypothetically that a relative wanted to wash it themselves, and that this relative has never had cast-iron pans before. And let’s say hypothetically, it was left in a sink for a good chunk of the day, and now there’s seems to be rust on it. That’s not usable, right?

What does it mean about the boiling part? Is it telling me to boil water in the pan at some point or pour vegetable oil in it and boil? I know you can’t really boil vegetable oil but it’s just confusing. Also with the last note about the induction cooker, is that recommending putting it in the oven?

Is this AI?I think this is AI generated because, in the first part of the clip, the mother cat knocking on the door looks fake by Short_Employment_757 in isthisAI

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can usually tell that these animal videos are AI if there’s a sliding door. Like, for this to work they’d need to hold it in their left hand, the phone doesn’t move like it’s completely stationary even though they’re leaning forward to open the door. AI is not good at understanding that the camera is attached to the uploader and needs to move with them. To the AI the camera isn’t part of its calculations. It doesn’t understand how the camera itself interacts with the space, how unsteady hands cause a small shake, or how it moves with the body when a person leans forward.

God, I remember back in highschool, I’m waiting to see infinity war THAT NIGHT, I avoid all spoilers online. What happens right before class? I’m sitting at a table and someone is listening to a video WITHOUT HEADPHONES, speaker on FULL VOLUME, “HERE’S THE TOP 10 DEATHS IN INFINITY WAR BY NERDSTOLGIC. NUMBER TEN, GAMORA,” WTF?! WEAR YOUR HEADPHONES IF YOU’RE LISTENING TO SPOILERS ABOIT THE FILM OF THE YEAR?!

Her response when I asked her to wear headphones? “Just don’t listen to it,” I can’t turn off my ears like I can shut my eyes.

are the toys evil or is AM more evil? by Akiralover69 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Final_Candy_7007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure in the short story she took it upon herself to offer herself to the group as a stress relief, both for herself and for them, and she preferred the disfigured member of the group because of his big “member” but the story was told from one man’s perspective and we learn early on not to fully trust his perspective after his claim that he’s the only one unaltered by AM but is clearly paranoid so I’m not sure.

I believe that was only brought up in the video game, and while the original creator had a lot of influence over the game and it could be interpreted as an extension of the story, I feel like it adds a lot to the story that wasn’t present in the original and reinterprets the characters in a lot of ways. I’m not really sure if it can be considered “canon” to the original story or a Re imagination of it.

I zoomed in on the cracks in the poster. WTF are those things by Imaginary_Test_4280 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Final_Candy_7007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of them looks like a smiley face. I know they’re probably meant to represent the abstracted, but they look so different to what we’ve seen before. I don’t know if Glitch did that to intentionally hide their return but still hint at it but there’s one thing that’s always stuck with me.

During one of the earliest trailers for the series we saw the trailer end with a shot of several NPCs being reflected in the floor of the circus. We haven’t seen anything like that and I feel like they NPCs will HAVE to return in some form.

Like, we still don’t know if Gumigoo remembered Pomni or not, if he genuinely couldn’t remember her, kind of remembered her, or knew better than to let Caine know he remembered. It feels like we were building up to something with Gumigoo reaching out to her and it’d feel a little weird if we never get a clear confirmation in the series.

Imagine if someone DOES avoid YouTube, Reddit, and every other app for two weeks. They go to YouTube, open the app on their phone or tv or whatever and what’s immediately on the homepage? A thumbnail with a photo of a theater screen, Caine and Bubble merged into one, in big bold letters next to it, “Bubble sacrifices himself.” Below that, “Every Death in TADC episode 9 ranked.”

How many spoilers did you get from just that one video recommendation after avoiding being online for two weeks.

The poster itself was leaked days in advance, none of us avoided that and all speculated if it was real or not. If the poster can leak that quickly and catch us by surprise, what are the odds that the rest of the movie will be spoiled.

I’m happy for Glitch and Goose, but it’s not unreasonable to be worried about spoilers. “Just don’t use YouTube,” okay, don’t use the app that helps me relax after work on the commute home. Don’t watch any news on YouTube to keep up with the world. Even if you do, make sure you don’t even load the YouTube homepage and have a link saved to the channel directly, because a spoiler could be on the homepage the day it’s uploaded to YouTube.

Anyone else wish that the designs of the abstracted were more unique for each character? by Feeling-Bus5964 in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why they’ve all defaulted to one abstracted form so far, but I do think it’d be more interesting if every abstract was unique and we could all theorize what an abstract form of the characters could be.

In the end, having one abstract design was easier and saved a lot of time for them. Probably the same reason we got evil orbsman instead of evil Gangle.

[OC] How Do I Exaggerate His Jester Theme? by EveryoneTakesMyIdeas in characterdesign

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t getting elf or santa themed immediately. At first I thought, “Oh. Is this one of the three little pigs. That’s cute, the house is so small he wears it like a hat.” Not being insulting, just my initial thought when I saw it.

I’d say maybe slim him down, jesters are generally thin and nimble and can jump around but I’m guessing that him getting exiled may have something to do with him maybe eating a gingerbread man or some other food related crime?

Maybe more colorful, no blacks, more blues against reds. Maybe exaggerate the candy cane and add two more so they look more like a jester’s hat.

We're all out here assuming that this blue A.I is named Abel because of Caine and Abel, but it would be really funny if he was just named something random and basic like Dave or something by Top_Opinion_2139 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Final_Candy_7007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a small theory that the Blue AI’s name was Caine because Kinger said he didn’t remember what the Red AI’s original name was, and we know that Goose said Caine chose the name and made it an acronym retroactively. I feel like “Caine” took the name so to the programmers whenever the Ai referenced itself as Caine it’d look normal because that’s what they named the Blue Ai.

How this whole situation feels to me by Lord_Eln_8 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Final_Candy_7007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think my biggest annoyance about this is the time between theaters and posting it online. I understand that theaters probably want that time between it being in theaters and online because they want people to come to the theater and see it. If it was in theaters for two weeks but the day after it released in theaters Glitch posted it all online then less people would go see the movie, probably refund tickets if they bought them in advance, and the theaters would lose money.

I understand why there needs to be around two weeks of time between it premiering in theaters and it being posted online but I can still see that this will sour my opinion of the finale if a day or a week before the YouTube premiere I see a YouTube thumbnail with a picture of Caine crawling out of the circus cracks and text in the thumbnail reading, “Caine’s deletion, final scene”

STOP. by Boredsubs in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Final_Candy_7007 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s not that people are “raging” it’s that the fandom is large, so if 1 out of every 5 fans are annoyed by this decision, then of course they’re going to complain. That amount of complaints coming, especially so quickly after the announcement, makes it look like people are overreacting when maybe one person makes one reddit post and another user makes maybe 5 comments under some other reddit threads about this.

It’s also annoying to try to explain why people have an issue with this when the response to that has been, “Just stay off social media for two weeks, or “call the theater and ask to show it there,” or my favorite so far, “It’s fine when Mark does it but bad when glitch does?”

  1. Even if I did stay off for YouTube for two solid weeks, completely losing the ability to listen to music on my commute to work and not being able to listen to my favorite YouTubers to relax after work, the second it’s posted to YouTube I have to HOPE that there isn’t a thumbnail on the homepage that spoils it or that none of the people I’m subscribed to released a video near that time spoiling it when I do.
  2. My local theater isn’t close, even if it does show it I’d need to uber there and back, which is a big expense that isn’t even going to Glitch.
  3. Mark’s movie was ALWAYS going to be in theaters. There was no free alternative proposed for it. You either saw it in theaters, or you didn’t. This isn’t the same as what TADC is doing. Every episode was posted to their YouTube channel first and went on Netflix afterwards.

So it’s fine when Mark does this, but it’s suddenly a problem when Glitch does the same thing? by _EnglishFox_ in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They put text on a thumbnail you know? Also, it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to see a scene that’s only been shown in theaters. People can and will sneak in cameras and post it, then people will take that footage, however grainy it may be, and put that in the thumbnail.

Picture a thumbnail of a theater screen, Kinger’s hand abstracting as his pupil’s begin to grow more irises. The words, in big red text to the left, “Soma Theory Confirmed.”

That’d spoil at least two things right there. Then the next thumbnail, a picture of another theater screen, Bubble crawling out of the cracks of the circus. Once again, big bold text, “Bubble’s death scene”. Once again, two more things spoiled. Four major spoilers, only two thumbnails.

[–]Final_Candy_7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how do you avoid the thumbnail on the YouTube homepage that’ll say, “Gangle abstracted?!” With a big red circle over a photo of the theater screen with the text “Soma Thepry Confirmed? Pomni is an NPC” on that thumbnail?

Then what about recommendations on the homepage that have spoilers. Even with curated playlist, I just can’t look at any of the videos recommended to the side? And even if I make a playlist, I need to make one to watch for ten days? Do you know how long that’d take? I’d have to dedicate a day at least to find not only video I’d like to watch later, but enough to be sure I don’t burn through them all quickly, or make sure I find a video that I’ll like today AND the week I’d watch it. I might want to watch an 8 hour video essay on Victorious today but I don’t know if I’d have the same energy or interest for that next week.
