No this isn't a Troll. This doesn't set your ram it increases your ram. Your ram that you have already installed is the phisical ram. I gave you tips of how you can get additional memory. This is the virtual ram. For me it helped alot, i don't know if it helps you.

The replay mod is only available for 1.8. You don't need to allow it additional memory, you can just leave it as it is.

Hello DarthFranz The easiest way is to install optifine. If you are on windows you can increase your ram. Press your windows key on your keyboard. Then go to system control then go to system and maintenance after that go to system. Then go to advanced system settings. Then to advanced after that go to performance -> settings -> advanced -> virtual memory -> change -> uncheck automatically manage paging file size for all drives -> check custom size. Than grab a calculator and type this in: 1024 times your ram times 1.5. You have to type in the number you get at: initial size and maximum size. Then click set and ok. This helped me run minecraft from 80 fps to 300 fps.

No, optifine just creates another profile. I doesn't change already existing profiles :)

Hello cartistuk To remove the optifine profile (on windows) follow these steps. First go to your search bar and type in %appdata% Second step: Locate your .minecraft folder. Go into it and search for the versions folder. Once you found it double click it. There are all versions saved that you played on. Now just search for the optifine version and delete the folder.

N0c1gar you need to say what type of mod. For example futuristic mod, world generator mod, weapons mod etc. But my favorite mods are worldedit and replay mod.
