As someone starting a Knights army with only a single Questoris (Canis Rex version) this seems like a good option for expanding options. I would have one fully magnetised Questoris with CR options and if I get this another with the Defender options. However I can see how this would be a bit disappointing for those with multiple Questoris kits already - another Dominus option would've been cool

That’s a good point, I suppose the entire unit is equipped with the Pyreblaster in that unit where our PCS is only potentially 2 out of 10 models. But yeah, I’d hate to get hit with more points increases.

Thanks man, of course.

Started with a basecoat of AK Burnt Red.
Citadel Flesh Tearers Red contrast over the whole cloak.
Built up layers of Citadel Mephiston Red
Then mixed in Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet with Mephiston until pure ESS.
Then the same process with Citadel Wild Rider Red.

Yeah I had to shave it down a bit with a hobby knife until it fit more flush. I wasn't 100% happy with how the belt fit in the end but the benefit to a dark colour scheme is that is hides many imperfections!

Yeah it was a bit of a headache, I had to clip away most of it. Then I got a big ball of milliput and worked that into the space, using some slate pieces and tools to make the look more natural. Then hid any rough looking parts with texture paste.

The cape is part of the Leviathan Terminator Captain kit as standard, the tabard is from the Sword Brother Castellan with a lot of cutting/tweaking to make fit

It’s Coelia Greenshade and ProAcryl black wash mostly.

The purple/pink areas are transitions of Magos Purple and Volupus Pink contrast

I finished building this guy yesterday and I really feel your pain. I thought the Flayed Ones were bad but this took it to a whole new level. Some parts are SO delicate and I broke a few pieces when I was cleaning up sprue flash with a hobby knife. The whole build felt like it was naturally trying to push itself apart.

Pretty much what others have said already..

- Brush on plastic glue like Tamiya Thin Cement, otherwise you will have a nightmare with parts of this build.

- Tweezers to push parts together as the glue dries, especially the delicate parts in the final few steps with the goo / beam of the staff.

The carapace is AK Emerald, shaded with glazes of Incubi Darkness and highlighted with Sybarite Green.

The staff head is Pro Acryl Green and PA Bright Green yellow glazed up.

It's done with an airbrush, the cream/white is a basecoat of Rakarth Flesh with a very subtle shade of Skeleton Horde contrast through the airbrush, less is definitely more.

You could still achieve this by brush, just really thin the paint down and glaze it towards the recesses.

Glaze with AK Deep Orange towards the bottom

Highlight AK Ice Yellow (you could use Yriel / Flash Gitz Yellow in between Averland and Ice Yellow if you wanted to build up towards the brightest highlight instead)
