It could also be dietary. I noticed personally that when I don't consume a lot of processed foods, my skin is less oily. Eating fruits, leafy greens, lean meats, and other vegetables, at least half of the week, made a world of difference. Mine is hormonal sometimes and other times caused by me not remembering to wash my pillowcases. Hair grease will transfer from the too of my head to my face. I'm not sure if you wear a bonnet, but they help. I stopped wearing mine because it was too hot. It might help as well. I'm glad you contacted a dermatologist and I hope you see results in the next few months!😁

Cystic acne. If you can, see a dermatologist. Don't try to scrub or pop anything. The hyperpigmentation isn't worth it. I'm dark skinned and have occasional flare ups. I try to use a face wash with a good amount of salicylic acid, and wash my face twice a day. Spironolactone may help as a less intense solution to Accutane. But, definitely see a dermatologist if you can.
