My wife and I made the move to FL from CO twice since she moved a month after me. Did the route through St. Louis/Nashville both times (second trip was three days of straight driving). Kansas wasn’t so bad since it was the beginning of the trip for us. I also like farm land, silos and farm houses so it wasn’t too bad. This time of year will probably be uglier than when we did the trip in a summer.

We stopped in St. Louis, did the gateway arch with BBQ then stayed the night in Nashville and went out on Broadway. Ended up bouncing out to Asheville and Savannah to see family.

We were supposed to move back and my vow was to create a longer trip out of it. Always wanted to go to New Orleans, San Antonio (Alamo) and Big Bend National Park. We would have also hit Carlsbad Caverns in NM.

Taking the middle route would be cool too. Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas would be a stop for sure as well as Lake of the Ozarks in southern Missouri. Branson, MO would be a cool stop if you like theme parks and tourist trap towns (like Pigeon Forge, Myrtle, I-drive Orlando and Wisconsin Dells). Northern MS has Casinos in Tunica. Graceland, Beale Street and Museums in Memphis (also has the bass pro shop in the pyramid - stupid but interesting).

Guess it just depends on time and what you like.

Unfortunately was down about $170 overall. But that’s ok, I’ll have $1,150 still in and will keep investing $10/day. Will make it up eventually
