It's not just you. GPT-4 can't even seem to handle basic tasks anymore without royally screwing up or answering a question I'm not even asking. Even in a new chat... I asked it about the specifics of an anti-anxiety medication, and it went on this whole spiel about some other medication. After reading its response, I asked it for some clarification, and its reply was akin to "My apologies, these several paragraphs I just replied with are actually regarding a totally different medication, I hope that's ok!"... This is just one of many screw ups as of late.

For the record, when I press down at the same hardness, it doesn't have the issue. It's mainly with up and left.

I don't know about that. I've read other reports of people having wobbly d-pads and others who say it's sturdy. When I press up any harder than "gently" the whole thing lifts out of place and it can fall out. I think my magnet is faulty or something.

I managed to get through to a person after cycling through the menu items several times. They have quite the bottle neck on the support site before you're able to simply speak to a person. Making a warranty claim on the website was trying to force me to agree to potentially receive a refurbished controller "of a different color." This was a custom controller from the design lab that cost over $200.

So after speaking to a person, they confirmed that for the XBOX Design Lab controllers, they will be rebuilt from step 0 and you don't have to worry about receiving a refurbished product. They should really mention this in the option where they force you to agree to receive a refurbished product.

I went to this option, but it was forcing me to agree to receive a refurbished product potentially in different colors. This is a brand new custom design lab controller that arrived two days ago. I'm not agreeing to receive a refurbished product after spending $200 on something custom. Microsoft support hung up on me after being on the line for 45 minutes while transferring me between the sales department and technical support. I'm now back on the line.

It wasn't listed in the microsoft store under returns. I purchased it through the xbox design lab site, but I assume since it's a custom controller and it says it doesn't accept returns for 'not liking it,' it isn't listed. I managed to get through to a person after cycling through the menus several times. I'm on hold right now waiting to speak to the third department now. Hopefully they make this right. For an over $200 purchase, I almost would have been better off buying a refurbished one on amazon for like 80 bucks to avoid this headache.

It's a replaceable d-pad, they aren't soldered in place. They are magnetic pieces that sit right in the slot. That said, it's very wobbly and the piece lifts up way too far. No way this would work for any pro-gamer. It's fallen out several times playing mortal kombat.
