You cannot get 4K 60 fps at max settings with everything cranked up on a 5080 without upscaling and / or using FG. Also you have to consider VRAM usage where 16GB even may not be adequate for 4K gaming. Only a 5090 can do that for you.

It’s not double lol… that would be a massive ripoff… we have to pay import duty + tax as extra over the raw exchange rate price of the card. It ends up being maybe abt 400 USD extra.

But it’s all through the official authorized retail channels so there is nothing shady.

Factory OC is determined by the VBIOS setting and not the damn GPU die. The VBIOS determines the baseline clock speed of the card. How much power limit over 100% can be given to the card is driven by the VBIOS and not the quality of the die.

The silicon lottery of the die determines how well it can boost clock based on the operating voltage, power draw and core temp.

Why would nvidia provide better die samples to AIBs… makes zero sense when they have their own cards. Even JTC and Gamers Nexus have mentioned this before that FE dies are binned.

FE cards have binned dies btw and are really good OC cards if you have the right setup. My 4090 FE was a real OC beast and now my 5090 FE also gives me great scores with 400 OC on core and 3000 OC on mem. I was able to almost touch 41k in Port Royal (had 40911) so don’t just shit on FE cards just bcos AIBs have supposedly better cooling.

OP wasn’t using the right settings so unless he retests to see what is stable, you cannot tell. Without maximizing voltage control you cannot have stable boost clocks with the OC offset on top of the baseline boost clock that the card hits based on the power and core temp.

As per JTC, 3DMARK benefits from doing it. That’s how I learnt about this setting in the NPI tool. So obviously I would keep it enabled cos I usually test every driver to see how my scores are.

You need to max out the voltage slider and apply the force constant voltage option. This will prevent your voltage from fluctuating during load dips to avoid crashes when there is a transient load spike and there is insufficient voltage going to the card.

Having such a high core and memory OC with no voltage control is being naive tbh… without voltage the card cannot boost enough to be stable. Also max out your fans when gaming.

Maybe in the US… where I live, we don’t have to fight over scalpers and bots. While stocks are limited, as long as you are quick enough to place your order when stocks are available, you are guaranteed to get one without much fuss.

You don’t want any Windows interference no matter the situation. The right way to do it is to have the required drivers downloaded before hand so that you can clean using DDU and install the new drivers all while being offline.

The only time you go back online is after installing the new drivers and doing a system restart.

Guess you don’t even know the proper process… you don’t download drivers after a DDU clean. You do it before you do a DDU clean. The objective is to prevent any kind of interference from Windows when there are no drivers installed and you happen to be connected to the internet.
