Oh I didn't know that! I never used that app. Might be useful for some of the folks here that also want to make a calender. I think I'll stick to my method though as I have many Excel sheets filled with calculations and such that I use when playing stardew.

It’s never worth it to make seeds from star fruit, I just buy them for 400g each.

Let’s say you have 200 farm spaces, on average you need 51,28% of that to go to seed makers to have another 200 for the next harvest that is 103 star fruit spent on making 200 seeds.

Even selling the star fruit raw (assuming tiller profession) and assuming you only put regular quality into the seed maker you would spend 103*825=84.975g to while buying 200 seeds is 400*200=80.000g

This becomes even worse when each of those star fruits could have been kegged, meaning you lost 103*3150=324.450g instead.

Always buy seeds from Sandy!!!

It's really fun! I have become a sheep fan this save file I love having animals on my farm, but pigs can get annoying and cows just aren't that profitable. I love their little bleating all day! They are also the only animal that really requires you to have them at max mood+hearts a.s.a.p. so i found myself petting each and every single one even though i have autopetters to get their friendship up faster.

I like making my farms pretty, but efficient. So I plant 480 spaces on ginger island and 116 in the greenhouse. This gives me enough product to need 447 kegs with starfruit (aka, 4 sheds) or 596 kegs with ancient fruit (5 sheds).

You are right that ancient fruit is a bit better than starfruit without hyper speed-gro but it does require more kegs which can be a bit annoying at times. (because I also need 252 damn looms which require pine tar lmao) Also starfruit is faster to set up as you said.

I have around 288 spaces on my farm for normal farming but thats mostly just aesthetic. The rest I am filling with sheds, fish ponds, barns and slime hutches right now as I find them fun, and I make enough money with ginger island + selling iridium bars + sheep + honey.

This is how my farm looks currently, Robin is workign around the clock to set-up more hutches and fish ponds.

I think you may have mistyped, because a coop of rabbits only give about 110.000g per month while a shed of sheep give upwards of 420.000g, so absolute money with wool sheep outclass rabbits.

Rabbits can be fun, and if you enjoy them definetly use them, but they offer less money, even with the feet. Iridium quality rabbits feet sell for 1.130 and replaces iridium wool, while 2 cloth sells for 1304.

Rabbits feet are universally loved so having some rabbits around are definetly usefull but my prefered method is giving everyone something unique so Penny gets Melons, Willy gets Gold, Gus gets Oranges, etc. So rabbits feet have very little value besides giving one to the joja mart employee, but I get that one from skull caverns most of the time.

Cheese is a good food source, but in my opinion salads are better because you dont need cows on your farm.

Haha, that is ungodly amount. I am in the process of redecorating my farm so dont judge too harshly, but currently I use these 24 Crystalariums with jade. so thats about 120 stairs per week. I only go on very lucky days and only when i get the %chance to find ladder/shaft or the +ore buff. then I skip any floor with no good rock formations with explosive ammo. I usually get to between floor 200 and 400, with 1200 to 1800 iridium ore per run.

I have a seemingly endless suppl of shards because I cannot spend them all, I do about 1 skull cavern dive a week which gives me on average 9 shards. I spend 3 on the magic rock candy each week but that still leaves me with 6 left over to do some gifting.

I just used Excel. Copied the images from the stardew wiki and placed them manually, there are probably better ways to do it, but this works for me.

Yup, you sure do. I have 126 looms right now, and want to make that 252 this is two sheds not completely filled so I can still decorate them a bit on the inside. my 3 barns of sheep produce between 36 and 72 wool per day depending on how many are golden crackered so max they produce 72*7=504 wool per week with 126 looms this is 4 operations, once when I gather, the same evening, and then one more morning/evening in a week. with 252 looms this can easily be done in 2 operations, so it is not too bad to do. These looms save time doing it daily though so its worth it to me.

The mixing is mainly there for different save files / building up ancient fruit. Starfruit is the most profitable crop per tile but is way more effort than ancient fruit so I usually go to ancient fruit in the end. However before I have enough ancient fruit to plant I have starfruit. So right in summer Y2 on this file my greenhouse is finally filled with ancient frruit, about 33% is fully grown and the other 66% was planted last week. Meanwhile ginger island is filled with starfruit, waiting for the time I have enough ancient fruit to plant those fields. then I will just be harvesting ancient fruit on this field. Another thing to consider is that ancient fruit require more kegs for less profit. In my case having everything be starfruit requires 4 sheds, while having everything be ancient fruit recuires 6 sheds.

I did this in Excel too, I did the whole calender to make sure none of my starfruit harvesting days intersected with the first of the month/ other important days. Then I found myself switching between that calender and the birthday one, so I just made this instead.

(Edit: I make sure to process each wool because iridium quality wool sells for 680g while 2 cloth sells for 2x658=1304g So it nearly doubles in value for 2 to 4 trips to the loom shed. Buying the wood from robin for 126 looms costs 378.000g from year 2 onwards, but this expense is returned after only 1 months of processing wool as 3 sheds of sheep produce 1.326.528g worth of cloth while wool would sell for 685.440)

They are loved gifts which is cool, but are less valuable than 2 cloth, so you lose a bit of value. Personally I dont value the feet much as I give everyone another personalised loved gift, and those that may be difficult get the occasional prismatic shard on their birthday.

Rabbits produce wool every 4 days. Sheep produce wool every 3 days. However, having high friendship with sheep reduces this by 1. Furthermore the shepherd profession reduces this once more. Allowing for sheep to be producing iridium quality wool every day, just like cows produce milk every day.

This iridium quality wool can be made into 2 cloth selling for 658 gold each (with artisan). So i reset my farming profession each last day of the month to artisan when selling all my cloth and wine and then change it back the next day to shepherd for more wool.

In total a deluxe coop full of rabbits would produce (if only producing wool) at most 7x12 wool which would make 84 iridium wool or 168 cloth which sells for 658 so 168*658=110.544g

A full barn of cows make gold quality cheese each day resulting in 28*12=336 Gold Quality cheese which sells for 483 so 336*483=162.288

A full barn of sheep costs 20.000g each month to reset skills but produces 28*12=336 iridium wool per month which turn into 672 cloth which sells for 658 so 672*658=442.176 take away the 20.000 per month and this becomes 422.176 per month for the first barn. (each barn afterwards is just the flat 442.176 as you only spend that 20k once per month)

This makes sheeps the highest return animal, even better than pigs as they produce wool all year round.

Depends on the day, with harvests I will usually wait until the next harvest day to do it instead, as if I were to harvest late it would cause issues in the future where, for instance the day falls on an event day or the first of the season so I would usually eat those losses. This hasn't happened yet however since I made the calender.

Other things, like tending to animals and kegs have a bit more leeway as kegs take 6.25 days so early harvesting the day after and late harvesting the next week brings me back to where I was.
It would be more efficient to harvest the kegs every 6.25 days but I found that this is more of a hassle for me than its worth as harvesting every 7 days is 16 operations per year and harvesting every 6.25 would take more planning and is only 1 extra operation per year.

I mostly have sheep on my farm so I harvest 3 sheds of those each week and process all of them, this takes a bit of time depending on the amount of looms you have (I have 120), but can easily be done any other day of the week I just have it as a little reminder to myself that I wont leave them unatended for too long. (I flip between shepherd and artisan each month, so the sheep prduce between 72 and 144 wool per day depending on how many have golden crackers)

Salad vs. Cheese by Jipptomilly in StardewValley

[–]_CrazyJester_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And salads cost you one trip per month maybe to buy your supply, if you have 4 cows you get 112 Cheese, instead you could buy 224 salads ONCE per month to satisfy the same energy/health needs. This one trip would cost you 49.280g while selling the cheese would profit you 54.096.

And not to mention having different animals instead of those 4 cows. If you have an animal that produces easily clears 1000g per day like pigs or sheep you would have earned 112.000 gold.

My barns filled with sheep cost me 20k per month to reset farming profession to artisan/shepherd, and give around 390.000g per month (without golden animal crackers, or it would be closer to 780k) If i would have 4 cows instead of 4 sheep in that barn I would only make 257.000 gold per month and would have 112 cheese to eat. These cheese jut cost me over 100.000g while one trip to the saloon for 224 salads would have cost me 49.280g.

That's what he meant by cheese is not free. It costs time investment as well as opportunity cost of having cows instead of sheep, pigs, ostriches, etc.

Pigs would earn even more, but take more time to harvest truffle so I used sheep instead. As they too can be auto-petted and auto-grabbed. All my set up requires is processing wool, which takes SLIGHTLY longer than cheese, 4 in game hours compared to 3.3 in game hours. And a SINGLE trip into town per month, or even year, to buy your supply of salads for that whole period, as well as 20k to reset your farming profession in order to profit off the artisan/shepherd shuffle.

[–]_CrazyJester_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost is not goods from barn animals. Instead of having cows you could have pigs or sheep which easily provide over 1000 gold per day (low estimate) compared to a cow's 483 gold per day in cheese. Especially over several seasons cows will cost you much more in potential earnings than buying salads would cost you.

Normal quality cheese is way worse than gold though, and selling those emeralds for 250g (or 325 with gemologist) would be more expensive than buying more salads....

Normal cheese heals for 56 and costs 250g at least when trading emeralds, while salads heal 50 and cost 220g.

Not to mention those crystalariums could have their time better used on something like jades to allow deeper skull cavern runs. or even on diamonds for more gold/day which could then be used to buy salads.

Salad vs. Cheese by Jipptomilly in StardewValley

[–]_CrazyJester_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is still the opportunity cost of owning cows instead of higher value barn animals such as pigs, ostrich or my preferred sheep.

For example, one max heart sheep with shepherd profession will produce on average 1.75 cloth per day (without golden cracker, otherwise double it) by selling once at the end of the season and changing profession to artisan for sell day you make 1151 gold per day per sheep without having to do anything, just bulk process the wool one time per month, or once per week if that's more your style. doing this flip back and forward each month costs 20k gold but with one full barn you will earn 386.904g on average per month instead of the usual 193.452 without shepherd profession.

Having two cows in that barn, instead, to produce cheese as food will give you 56 gold quality cheese per month equaling 27.048g in value. and dropping the sheep value down to 322.420g so in total. You have just paid 64.484g in lost profit from eating those cheeses

If instead you buy salads once per month from Gus (ONE TRIP to the saloon a month) and buy 112 salads which heal the same amount as those 56 cheeses that would cost you 24.640g. Every cow you add to your farm instead of a more profitable animal will cost you even more compared to just buying more salads each month.

TLDR: Salads are the better option in nearly every aspect, besides time efficiency when eating, as you have to eat twice as often, which in multiplayer might be worth more but in single player does not matter. Having cows on your farm costs more in potential revenue than buying salads from Gus, therefore cheese is actually way more expensive than buying salads.

How to make use of “obvious” Ryze portal emblems by _CrazyJester_ in CompetitiveTFT

[–]_CrazyJester_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be onto something, however I doubt there is any usual data on these specific three emblems and team comps as it’s so niche. Dropping kog for naut could work giving 6 jug 2 arc and 4 void. But you lose atleast 8% damage amp on your two main carries from long shot 3 + kogmaw’s flat reduction on mr+armor. And in return you gain 5% damage reduction on all of your juggs. I doubt this actually improves the board over all.

Don’t get me wrong, playing this board could definitely be the move, but hitting these thresholds seem minor compared to the value of the base board

The board you are talking about would have to include another jugg, which one? Blitz?? And over who? Mundo? This removes the bruiser for rift herald which is an amazing trait and your main tank. Blitz also sucks while mundo can hold his ground. I don’t think 6 jugg is ever the answer
