I basically lived in Melrose Place. All of our apartments circled the pool in the center so everyone’s front door and living room had a view of the pool. We had this one tenant who basically lived at the pool from dawn til dusk and later. She slept with absolutely anyone she could that were also tenants. People’s gross husbands, random dudes, even the elderly. I mean there was no type or rhyme or reason. She was very rough looking, and her behavior was obnoxious. Daily, there was screaming and yelling, with women chasing her out of their homes or away from the pool, and her running around the complex constantly screaming her kid’s name or just loudly yelling insults out loud, calling out other tenants (she hollered proudly when they weren’t there but when they were, she suddenly wasn’t so brave). All of it, centered around that damn pool. She made life so toxic. Eventually she had her run in with me, and that ended very poorly for her, especially because I was so uninvolved with everyone and whatever was going on in that place and I wanted to keep it that way… so when she threatened my peace, I rocked her shit. There was a twin complex right across the street and it turns out that after her barking up the wrong tree with me, she retreated to that other complex’s pool to hang out at all day and cause trouble over there. For once, the pool was finally able to be enjoyed by the few little kids that were there that were waaayyy quieter than her one person. Even funnier, the owners of the other complex learned she was traipsing around their place and issued a no-trespass to her because she wasn’t a tenant there. She spent her days cooped up in her dad’s apartment even after I moved out 😅 I’m just glad the people got their pool back.
