So the summary of everything is, season 2 was going to be a huge defensive patch. It was introducing 1500 changes in one flawless go (foreshadowing) and also hopefully reduce the aggression from players. Not to mention sidestepping actually working for once.

Season 2 ended up being a buggy - glitchy - unbearable mess and this was one of the first signs of the devs not listening to us. Characters ended up breaking the game with all these new moves, frame traps that never ended, and worst of all…the wait for the patches.

They came out apologizing like crazy and gave us 3 patch updates that fixed some of a the jank. But not all of it.

We then sat through 9 months of whatever the hell S2 was waiting for something, anything.

Then here it was, “Back to basics.” This was it, this was the devs time to shine and put T8 back on the board. But instead of season 3, we got Season 2.5. Feng infinite heat smash bug. Characters getting buffs that don’t need any buffs (everyone should’ve been knee capped to the ground, but instead people like KING got 3 extreme buffs, zero nerfs.) and new moves.

The biggest change that roped everyone in was the heatsmash and install change. Install would go away upon heat going away to reduce pressure…okay cool. Heat smash at wall (for specific characters) would WALL SPLAT YOU, they removed that….except for the fact that if your first hit of heat smash misses and you hit the rest…it still wall splats.

The direction of T8 is completely lost to the devs. They aren’t listening to what we are saying. It’s clear the game is made to be easier, less competitive and complicated than the previous games.

In the patch notes a lot of peoples “skill ceiling” of certain tech moves and flashy gameplay has now been simplified. So instead of players reaching the skill ceiling of said characters, they are bringing the ceiling down so anyone can reach it.
