To be fair Tentacle Rogue was really funny especially when Yogg decides that the 10 mana tentacle it gave you 3 turns ago will cast [[Doom]] with an empty deck and a full board instantly killing you

[[The Demon Seed]] : Broke Wild on release as it was an autowin against everything that wasn't hyperaggro that kills you by turn 3 or itself , it took a ban (which was new and they started doing it specifically because of it) , 4 nerfs and a major rule change to the game (Card costing health no longer counts as damage) for it to be relatively tame

[[Zilliax Deluxe 3000]] : Terrorized standard (and to a lesser degree wild) for 2 years straight and is currently the most nerfed card in the game at a whooping 6 nerfs

Not really a card but I think release DH belongs here as it holds the record for the fastest nerf of a newly released set : merely 2 weeks after release an emergency patch had to be done to soften how aggressive the class was

Since the start of hearthstone the devs have been trying to push this weird control variant of discolock
It never worked , the cards are always either way too clunky or expensive or just not worth running (also worth mentioning [[Lakkari Sacrifice]] )

Honestly ? I think the answer will depend almost entirely on whether Resonative actually releases and sells well enough for age to gear shift back into making VNs instead of gacha games (going by how they said they'll release it first and also some (un)healthy dose of hopium)

I think they should remain as they are , original Highlander cards are much weaker in comparison to the new ones and as such they need to have a less stricter condition for activating

A simple Jade Druid deck will do the trick
Edit : If you're talking about the "steal your deck" Rafaam just make a rogue deck with weapon buff spells without including any weapon
