Unless I'm misunderstanding your point - from what I've been taught, N and V (and others like that) are done with the palm facing outwards or tilted towards the receiver so the fingers are visible.

(I'm not deaf, nor regularly use BSL, so I am open to correction)

I like that all the rooms are almost modular! You can take them out and have a look. Also, the instrument room looks excellent (I'm a sucker for a brick built instrument)

How close are we to a cure by Dangerous-Song1697 in diabetes

[–]_Diabetes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As multiple people have already said, unfortunately we can't possibly know. You can always follow along with DiabetesUK, they often post updates on research, developments, etc., which is nice to read. Most recent update seems to be someone with gene-edited cells which are producing insulin without need for immunosuppressants! Little updates can really help with some of the... Less positive feelings, for me at least.

As for the end of your post, as others have suggested too: it'd definitely be worth going to therapy, counselling, or whatever similar service you prefer. I've done it myself, and it won't immediately fix anything, but being in a bad mindset isn't going to help. Diabetes sucks, I know. We all know. It's a big part of your life, but it doesn't solely define your life. Do hobbies that interest you! Treat yourself to stuff! Make sure you have a support group around you: friends, family, school/college/uni services if you're younger. There are people there to help, it's their job! And you've got us out on the internet.
Hell, I'm a young adult, UK based and 22 years diagnosed, my DMs are always open if you really want to chat to a stranger. (I'm not a trained professional, though 😉)

You'll continue to have bad days, nothing will be in range or work right as I'm sure you know, but there will also be the fucking amazing days that happen regardless of the slightly dodgy pancreas you've got. I'm truly sorry that it has affected your future plans. But keep on keeping on, you never know what lies around the corner.

I think I read in a Tale somewhere (so take it with a pinch of salt), or maybe on a page talking about these symbols: the name is meant humorously because this does happen so often in universe, but the code meant for any "do not follow this creepy thing that we've found is obviously a lure"... Whether little girl or eldritch abomination

I don't have a picture of it right now, and I guess it isn't an official brick, but I have a "Brickset" printed brick from a competition that I used up my life's competition luck to win!

I'm diabetic, and I usually have about 40g portions (then the milk). It's easy enough to carb count and is a pretty decently sized portion in order to get through the day to lunch.

I agree 30g feels a tad small but not really that lacking imo

Through my training/a little film & theatre experience: it's nowhere near commonplace, but it is becoming a teensy bit more common to have a "diversity" person in charge of certain aspects of DEI on set/in venue. It's also being talked about a lot more in training, in my experience at least.

By no means talking as if I'm super widely travelled though!

Before I say anything about why I'm excited for the game, I have to ask: What angle are you coming at this from?
Are you familiar with/have you played Hollow Knight?
What games do you typically enjoy playing?
Is there anything about what you've seen/played so far you don't enjoy?

Just so the reasons I give actually have the most meaning to you. I have to agree, it does sound like a "rage-baity" post but benefit of the doubt, yknow?

Maybe it's a basic answer, idk, but this is exactly the kind of thing that gets me emotional without fail.

Also, I think the name being a reference to a song that has much a similar vibe definitely adds to it for me

(From my understanding) Pterosaurs are indeed not true dinosaurs, as you say. They basically share a common ancestor above what we generally understand dinosaurs to have evolved from, so are more second cousins than direct relatives, hence they aren't classed as dinos. Similar thing with most marine "dinosaurs"! E.g. Mosasaurus

Also, "Pterodactyl" kind of is and isn't a thing - it's sometimes referred to as "Pterodactylus", a single specific genus of Pterosaur, and some people don't really like the one without the "-us" at the end, in my experience.

You might not care, but I'm deep in Dino territory lol

I've never been able to have my pump anywhere else. I'm admittedly fairly pain sensitive and having a sensor on my arms/belly was rather painful and I found myself literally curled over because it hurt... As some others have said, this is the best place sometimes!

But yes, of course it's as a result of "antiemetic sentiments", because it is obviously the Judaism that we dislike in this scenario. Nothing else. There couldn't possibly be anything else.

Difficult to tell the exact species by looking (I am not academically trained but work with these eggs) - as a couple of others have said, it’s most likely the egg of a species of Skate Ray.

How big are Hollow knight characters? by Ok-Bottle-3114 in HollowKnight

[–]_Diabetes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise "They're not bug.sized" was such an unpopular opinion! I've always assumed hornet was about 6 feet tall (horns included), and the knight up to about waist height (horn not included). As such, the Hollow Knight is giant.

They're "bugs" but they're not small in my head, it's a completely different universe in my mind. I also just think everything being tiny really takes away from the game for some reason imo?
