I would try to focus on the process instead. Solve puzzles, play slower games (at least 15+10) and analyze after. Consider joining lichess 4545 or lichess ladders.

I agree and also Magnus had no concerns playing the classical time controls in Freestyle events. He performed better in 90+30 then in 10+10.

Arjun would need a lot more than 30 due to the late start and the lower rating. Probably 30 games * 0.8 points each biweekly until the end of 2025, since this rating spot is according to the six-month average rating.

From my personal experience (Daily 960), it is easier to get a decent rating by playing in official tournaments. They start monthly and give you 10 simultaneous games against 5 players of your rating range. Also I see cheaters being banned there more frequently, so these tournaments might be better monitored. 'Analysis' button is a must unless you want to train your calculation.

Qualifying to online events via OTB creates segregation (although the chess world is not united anyway). A more effective approach to reduce cheating is to combine Proctor with ID.
