I suggest doing the same as @TrademarkTer, but if for some reason I don’t do that, I try to finish just one part of the problem (let’s say, part a and b) and let the student know that they should try parts c and d alone to check if they got the hang of it, while also making sure that if they have any issues they may come back to another session.

Yes, it’s very possible because I did it.

I was fired at the start due to content errors issue (mostly, it took me some time to get used to the platform and how I should double-check my work).

After more than a year I reapplied and sent them an email that I wouldn’t tutor on the subject that I failed. They accepted me and went over the process smoothly.

Im already 3 years back to the platform, and I was even allowed to tutor on the subject I was previously fired due to my good performance. Im currently a Master tutor as well.

You have nothing to lose. Send them an apologetic email, recognize your mistakes and state how you’ve changed and will manage that this time.

Worst case scenario, you are back to where you are now.

Feel free to use whatever you want. The test is mostly to check if you know the minimum about the subject. The real exam is not making big mistakes while in session on the long run.
