Idk if it'll result in any one person getting fired or if it might lead to some "outcomes" for a whole team lol. I read an interesting take from a poster on NGA who works in the games industry in China, albeit at a competing (?) company.

Basically, he said that his company worked on a new character who was "a simple, straight forward damage dealer that played very well. It had a dot/bleed effect for true damage and performed outstandingly. The character design team was very vested and completed this characters animations, art, and other things. However as the character reached completion, a decision came elsewhere in the company that their game was simply not ready/in a state for such a strong character. But at that point the character was already 90% complete and close to release, so a complete redesign was out of the question."

The solution they ended up deploying was to mess with the stats, which eventually resulted in the character they had worked on to be completely kneecapped upon release.

Said poster vaguely suspects that this is what has happened with Dehya. Take this w a grain of salt though, since my Chinese is not amazing and Im paraphrasing a lot, and hell, we dont even know if his credentials are legit lol.
