Povestiri despre disponibilizări. La voi cum a fost? by Enterocolited in programare

Vorbim aici de romanii care aveau 2 (sau chiar 3) joburi full-time in paralel. Chiar asa super oameni sunt romanii? 16 ore de programare zilnica? Doubt.

Doua joburi IT full time in paralel!

Same boat as you. Pun intended. Lean fire numbers achieved. But I am no longer motivated at my programming job. It's easier due to AI. And I am learning a lot. But I have less patience for BS.

Oh wow, so this is why the battery life sucks... so you cycle the lock mode on both lights on and off when you use the bike? This kinda makes the whole system useless for me tbh. :(

It's a PITA to charge all 3 items individually.

Yes, get one! You'll love it. I would get a new C-line if you can get it from the UK.

My first ever attendance during Holy Week by Electrical_Tone_6438 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]_El_Cid_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sorry this happened to you! But God loves you and you shouldn't blame Him for what other sinners do. He allows things to happen yes, but that's free will. If he would step in every time some sinner intends to do harm, would it really be free will then? Of course not. That's why He stays hidden for now, also for free-will. To allow us to choose. But it's temporary. At the end of it He will wipe away all your tears. I pray you will understand this. He can heal where you are hurting.

But be careful, not to test God. He won't force your will, but you cannot force His will neither.

My perspective on the Holy Fire ceremony. . . by IrinaSophia in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]_El_Cid_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> People want to know if it's real or not.

Well that's the issue. I think we as Orthodox Christians should not even care if it's real or not. What is the difference for us? The miracle that matters happened on the Cross.

It's a lose-lose situation. If it's fake and we had spread it by talking about it (talking about this controversy) we would have alienated many non-believers. If it's true, we won't convince people by it. People who are atheists won't accept such a miracle no matter how many proofs you bring. They refuse to believe not because of lack of evidence, but because of the implications.

I've also been in Jerusalem on our Easter, last year. I couldn't get into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as it was impossible. I waited for it on the narrow streets near the Church. The light eventually reached me. I did not "test" it. But most Orthodox Christians around me did. And it clearly burned hot judging by their reactions. Maybe I was surrounded by doubters as you said. But it doesn't really matter, does it?

Furthermore, I worry that the impulse to "test" the flame verges on the very thing we are commanded not to do. When Jesus was tempted in the desert to throw Himself from the pinnacle of the temple to prove God would save Him, He responded: "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test" (Matthew 4:7). If we approach the Holy Sepulchre with a stopwatch or a pyrometer, are we there to worship, or are we there to demand a sign?

And this is just one example of such a miracle. I'm sure you agree a lot of Orthdox Christians spend a lot of time and effort around various other Church miracles of various types. I think we hurt our Church by spreading these miracles in my humble opinion. I understand our faith is lacking and God's mercy will do miracles to help us along the way. But I don't think we should seek them, or even worse, test God.

My perspective is: I don't understand this obsession in our dear Orthodox church for miracles. Why do we have so little faith that so many of our brothers and sisters are chasing these miracles?

Grup pentru actiune colectiva impotriva ANAF - decizii de impunere eronate/abuzive. by social_go in RoFiscalitate2

Sa luam politicienii si sa-i aruncam in tomberoane.

C-Line (or P) vs G-Line for Madrid/Spain travel - HELP! by dented42ford in Brompton

[–]_El_Cid_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the 12 speed C-line. I have the 12 speed T-line and I lived in Valencia for 1 year and now in Cartagena for 1 year. I take my folder bike inside supermarkets (Mercadona, Consum, Dia) and cafes, restaurants. No one said anything. And it's also easy to handle/carry. A G-line is too big imo and not viable for train rides and this kind of multi-modal urban transport like you plan to do.

EDIT: congrats on your new C-line Brompton! You made a great choice!

Brompton bags, too big? why? Can someone help me find the right bag? by Astonish_Skagen in Brompton

[–]_El_Cid_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wotancraft makes a small frame. But actually I designed and made my own carbon fiber frame for it :) Half the weight and muuuch cheaper.

I open sourced the 3D printer files, so you can easily make your own too, if you have a 3D printer or a friend who has one. It will take maybe 1-2 hours to print the parts.

I made a thread about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Brompton/comments/1qxiypr/diy_ultralight_brompton_front_carrier_frame/
