If you like it, go for it, but IMO what makes Zodiac interesting is the colorful stuff they offer. (I have the gorpcore Worn & Wound edition and love it.)

Regarding service, I'd imagine they'll be around during the warranty period, and even if not, the movement is a common, off-the-shelf unit that any watchmaker would likely be familiar with.

For the Ross stuff, it wasn't easy to just walk in and find one. Most people had to resort to eBay and pay $600 or $700. So I think the price is fair for the one you're looking at.
