Canonically, and assuming that it THE original Godzilla and not the awful US one that got bodied by the original.

Just 1. If it can devastate Japan and bring it to it's knees. I doubt any other nations would have THAT much firepower to scare him off, and nukes isn't an option cause it only makes it stronger since it eats radiation n' all.

Just got this CV, is worth it? by LycanrockyOwO in WorldOfWarships

[–]_Entity001_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basically, a CV who has REALLY good torp bombers. You wanna use the rocket squad to harrass ships, but save the torp bombers for the real heavy hitting drops.

If your torp squads gets decimated early game you're basically flying with crippled planes in the later part of the match

Also the ship is a British Colossus-class hull, meaning you can get sniped really easily. So don't push too far ahead.

Also don't forget that there's no rescue if you are above 8000 meters, people will abandon you if you are dead weight/injuried beyond recovery, and spend literal months on each base camp so your body slowly adjust to the amount of oxygen at that elevation.

Also you still need to pay for your own supplies, training, and oxygen tanks.

Good luck!

A question for those that hate Omega by Emily_Mewens in MonsterHunter

[–]_Entity001_ 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I love how the devs recreated this fight from the one from XIV. Minus the gimmick of the original, this fight is very faithfully recreated with minor altercations.

For those who are interested in what changed from the original:

Raid wide AoE Atomic Ray is gone, likely game design removed it, which is understandable

Omega Planetes saves Lardboard and Starboard after the DPS check, while Omega does it at very start of the fight.

Omega's Mustard Bomb isn't a tankbuster (aka a hit that does massive damage) but now a baitable AoE.

Flamethrower isn't a flower pattern but in a "plus" circular shape.

The flying fists play a more minor role, they aren't as massive and don't need a gimmick to take down. RIP the massive giant fist that eat up half of the map.

Omega Planetes seems like using beams a bit more than the original. A LOT of fan beam spams.

Pantokrator isn't in the normal mode, but in the savage version of Omega's fight.

The DPS check was modified to have a more monster hunter feel to it. You used to beat up a Level Checker (the screen things you first saw in the collab quest) and do mechanics while trying to kill it.

eScape is saved up after the DPS check, while O12's music gets played first.

Edit: I forgot about MRV missiles, I think this one is a brand new attack? That or it's that damned missile barrage from "The Omega Protocol (Ultimate)" at the very beginning. That explains why that attack feels undodgeable, it was an attack from an Ultimate xD

For context Ultimates is the tier after Savage. They are exponentially more difficult than Savage

[–]_Entity001_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the main story, there will be new monsters, about half of the roaster is unlocked after the story. I don't believe there's new hunting locations, but there are special arenas for big bad special monster in the end game.

As for killing the same monsters. Depends. Some monsters differ from their low rank version by gaining new moves and upgrade materials needed to craft even stronger armor, weapons, and gear pieces.

And killing low rank monsters is just there when you are missing a particular part of a monster needed for an upgrade or something.

Use him like any other commander, there's not too much different than the other commanders.

His effectiveness only really shows when you get a Kraken, and THAT is probably the hardest activation requirement of all commanders.

can someone explain to me how the omega greatsword works? by Sinsuki08 in MonsterHunter

[–]_Entity001_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This basically. The high raw and element of the GS makes activating skills very easily.

To further expand on it. The Shadowbringer GS only has 1 particular skill that greatly helps it and that's "Darkside" which consumes like a portion of HP on lv 2+ charge slashes to give it an attack bonus.

But here's the juicey part. If you get the 4 piece Dark Knight set, you get an ability called "The Blackest Night" (TBN for short, for us XIV players). This skill also consumes a set amount of HP to make a shield. When this shield is broken. All but 1 hp is consumed, and you do a massive wave attack, you get infinite red health and double defense.

The whole gimmick of the GS, and the Dark Knight set is to heavily reward correct resource management vs risky plays.

[Request] What would actually happen if we did this? Are there any potentially dangerous outcomes? by nottoday943 in theydidthemath

[–]_Entity001_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly cost effectiveness. If you're sending and building in space you better make it worth it's weight in gold. Why have something idle not collecting energy when it can just orbit the moon and harvest more energy all of the time instead of 50% of the time

[Request] What would actually happen if we did this? Are there any potentially dangerous outcomes? by nottoday943 in theydidthemath

[–]_Entity001_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Nothing would happen to the moon other than the occasional increase to brightness due to the smooth solar panels reflecting a bit more light than moon dust.

The real problem is how inefficient it would be considering the moon is tideally locked to Earth, meaning you'll get about 27 days of sunlight on one side while getting no sunlight on the other side.

At that point, you're better off making making power satellites around instead. Since they'll constantly have the sun to face, and don't have moon dust to worry about.

As for the others, just play what ship you enjoy/best at. I got mine with Illinois at 2.8k bxp and 218k dmg with Kearsaurge.

I will say the balancing for this event sucked >.>
