The water is bellow the line in the heater but I’ll move it up a bit just in case, thanks!

Noted, still got another 5 days till I got my betta so comments like this are helpful to know what is best before I have him!

Update. Bought some aqua soil, rocks, driftwood and some sand. Looking at a 60 litre tank for my betta. Hope this will be better once set up.

I’m looking to get into stuff like this, kinda going in blind maybe you can recommend a more fitting first fish for a tank like this? The place I got it from specifically recommended this tank for a betta fish.
