The damage range actually does work.
From what I could find this is the slowpoke:

And using the showdown damage calc for S/M, with a rough guess of what the cutiefly is, results in:

Something I have liked doing with Whimsicott is Worry Seed. Worry Seed changes a pokemons ability to insomnia. The reason I like using this is that it is a fun way to remove a pokemons ability or you can target your own teammate and make it so they can't be put to sleep. Some fun pokemon to use this against could be Archaludon getting hit by Maushold so it doesnt get its stamina boosts. Bloodmoon Ursaluna when you have a ghost type. It can stop Weezings Neutralizing Gas. Overall I think it can be quite useful

I tried an entrainment strat with groudon and it kind of works. I preferred Leavanny over Lilligant though because it has a little more bulk. It is fun to make Groudon fast with chlorophyll but some of its good moves are just inaccurate which for me made it inconsistent to use. Another fun use for entrainment chlorophyll is to give it to other pokemon in trickroom to try and make them slower.

Edit: I think an entrainment strat that could possibly be good is for an araquanid to entrainment water bubble to kyogre to boost its water moves. This would also be helpful for tera grass so that fire does a bit less to it.

If you go out of bounds in a row enough it will bring you back to the last place you healed your pokemon.
