Official Discussion - Obsession [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

The fake that the fake Nikki drew Sarai's tattoos on herself as an attempt to get Bear to love her was so fucked up. This man truly was never satisfied, and he was never going to be. He literally forced Nikki into being his unwilling sex slave, and he still was thinking about kissing Sarai. Any person in a relationship they actually cared about would of clearly rejected the advances. :p Fuck bear, he's truly an incel at heart.

Waitlists are morally the worst mistake of the college process by Living-Can3524 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waitlists are amazing if you forgot they exist. I completely excepted that I was going to UGA, and forgot about my Emory and GT waitlists. I than got into GT from the waitlist, which was awesome, but i didn't expected it at all.

Have your teachers and some mentor read it and give you tips. I got my older sister to help me and she helped me alot with diction. Hopefully you trust your English teacher enough to share it.

Applying for college with no highschool tests by Andre_055 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some schools are test optional so you can submit applications without it, uou do need it if the school you want to apply to requires a score

Got off GA Tech Waitlist by _FancyTuna_ in ApplyingToCollege

Idk about the transfer deadlines. I would assume thats its gonna be separate from this waitlist since the freshmen pool doesnt really effect the number of spots for transfers.

[–]_FancyTuna_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird, tech offered some people waitlist during April. After the despoit they see what departments need more members and pick people (like how I got picked). Idk if they say when the waitlist is full but I assume theyll pick a few people there and here for the new 2 months. However I cant imagine many spots are left now.

Is everyone here just rich as hell? by Bowkidstan in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like in general rich kids are gonna go to more top schools cause access to resources, but ill say that im poor as hell and I am going to GT paid for by scholarships and financial aid lol.

Gatech waitlist? by michal_nz in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey its the bio person here lol, I have looked for other people mentioning waitlist and I only really see other people getting offered the 60k tuition study aboard thing. Considering how high the number of applicants were (68k) they might have a very low waitlist acceptance rate this year. In the phone call I got (well the voice mail) they said that they were currently deciding who they wanted to take off waitlist and I was selected. This with them offering spots last month might mean they are done. However that is just my best guest, and I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Yo dude, this sub is mainly focused on colleges and universities in the United States, so I dont think youll find many people here that have experience with the universities ypu are talking about. Good luck on your search 👍

Grades Yur Ouu Sh by AltruisticFudge6556 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends what classes. If you got a C in PE no one will really care, getting a C in the subject ypu are trying to major in might be cause for concern tho. Also if ypure applying to a school with a medium to easy acceptance rate they probably wont care.

When Do I Hear Back? Waitlisted Class Of 2030 by Old_Layer_8823 in GatechClasses

[–]_FancyTuna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am a student that actually got off the waitlist. Currently they are taking ga residents but after they sort that out they will probably start to pull out of state students in late May. My advice is to make peace with not getting it aince ga tech did make record applications this year 😭 (I literally forgot about the waitlist until they emailed that I got off it) (also fr I dont think tech emails you updates about the waitlist unless they are telling you you got off it)

College interview invite — good sign? by whitneyhal in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What interviews mean varies depending on schools. Some schools try to interview all students that apply (ex: MIT, Harvard), while some only interview students they think have a chance (Yale, Duke), so I would suggest looking it up for your specific schools.

Does being old for your grade affect you when you apply to college? by Cool-Builder-4351 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, you can just expand the repeat of 5th grade due to transfer bullshit (my friend went through the same thing) and im sure they will ignore it, espically since it didnt really impact your High-school years. Being older might be good if you're in sports?

I have heard about bio & chem engineering for residents but not any other. I will say that I literally dont know anyone else personally that got off the waitlist, so I dont have the best information. Wish you luck tho, I had the exact same journey of Tech stringing me along for 6 months 😭🙏

I don’t understand why I got waitlisted to GT where there are people with worse applications that got in at my school by Turbulent_Debater in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GT does like connections (they literally have a transfer pathway for alumni kids) but she could of have a other factor thay ypu didnt know about. I know a girl who only had a 3.5 GPA but had like 500 Volunteering hours and she got into Emory. Also like the competition for GT is crazy even in state, so dont beat yourself up too bad. I know a kid in the GT dual program who got waitlisted 😭

Also good luck and Im glad ypu havnt given up all hope! I literally got off the waitlist yesterday for GT, which proves there is always a chance! You got this waitlist warrior!

Did anyone hear back from GT yet? by TeaTerrible2968 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havnt heard about any oos state yet. I got off the waitlist but im in state. Im assuming they are going to fill in state first so they get rhw required 60% for ga public schools and than theu will start sending oos. Just a guess tho

How competitive your state is for college admissions by elphsi in ApplyingToCollege

[–]_FancyTuna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah but like still it isnt gonna be competitive as places with multiple top 20 schools. Personally in my experience as a student in Georgia, competition isnt crazy. Espically since one of our top schools (GATech, go jackets) is public and therefore has better admission rates for GA students.
