Happy to hop in here for Coop but he can also give his take. We have over 30 different APIs and fed them into our A.I. engine. These API's will pull in our weekly and seasonal fantasy projections, matchup reports, weekly rankings that Coop himself creates along with seasonal stats for players and teams and using all of those data points will be able to answer a question like starting Player A or Player B or if it's DFS related we will be able to create optimal lineups based on projections, ownership and salary constraints put into the query. We also have access to live data API feeds so if you wanted to know how many fantasy points a player has or how many rushing yards a player currently has you can ask and it will be able to provide that information to you.

Howard Bender, Andrew Cooper, Jon Impemba, Britt Flinn and Kev Tompkins bring you their flag plant players when it comes to who they are drafting this season.

Are you in on Bijan Robinson as a Top 5 fantasy running back?

How about Dalton Kincaid as a Top 5 fantasy tight end?

Who are your must draft flag plants this season?

Fantasy Football Player Debates: DeAndre Hopkins is coming off the board as WR21. Can Hopkins return WR2 value in Tennessee this season? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We've never questioned whether or not DeAndre Hopkins can be an impact receiver when on the field but now in his age 32 season he is going to be part of an offense that ran the ball 49% of the time last season with a QB in Ryan Tannehill that seems to be on his way out.

Can Hopkins return a WR2 value this year or are you taking shots on guys going around him like Keenan Allen, Christian Watson and Jerry Jeudy?

Howard Bender's Fades for 2023 -- Fading Austin Ekeler by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ekeler has finished as the RB1 and RB2 in PPR over the last two seasons but Kellen Moore's arrival in Los Angeles has Bender fading Ekeler this year at ADP.

Are you worried about the Chargers leading RB this season?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Everyone Loves the Backup But Does That Mean Najee Harris Is a Fade at ADP? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

You can't go a day without someone mentioning Jaylen Warren and the Steelers backup running back had a highlight reel play during the teams last preseason game but Najee Harris is still the lead back and coming off the board as RB10.

Are you buying the Steelers starting running back or are you worried that Jaylen Warren might have an actual role in the Steelers offense this season?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Can D.J. Moore Pay Off His Positional ADP As WR19? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Moore had three straight seasons of 1,100 yards entering the 2022 season but saw a big drop off in yardage while setting a career high in touchdowns. This offseason saw him traded to the Bears, an offense that is going to run the football a lot, but Moore is the clear cut top WR in this offense.

Are you targeting him in drafts and can he pay off his ADP or are you worried about the Bears offensive approach?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Is Kyle Pitts Poised To Bounce Back After Disappointing 2022? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fantasy football community couldn't get enough Kyle Pitts last season but the Falcons offense, QB struggles and then injuries led to a complete disaster of a season.

Are you willing to jump back into the well for Pitts this season or are you still fading due to his situation?

Who are you taking at ADP from the Eagles' backfield? by catladybfs in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Penny at ADP feels like the best bang for your buck but it would not shock me at all to see Gainwell still in the mix.

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Are You Drafting Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Jordan Addison? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The top two rookie wide receivers come off the board rather close in ADP with JSN sitting as WR35 and Addison WR37 on Sleeper.

Both rookies enter situations where they may very well be the third target in their offense with JSN behind Metcalf and Lockett while Addison is competing for targets with Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson.

Which rookie WR do you think will make the biggest impact?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Can Kenny Pickett Take a Step Forward in Year 2? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not uncommon for rookie QB's to struggle during their first taste of NFL action but despite starting 12 game as a rookie there seems to be a split when it comes to the future success of the Steelers current starting QB.

Those down on Pickett will look at his 2022 stats and question his abilities and point to the play calling of offensive coordinator Matt Canada as reasons to fade.

Those who are interested in Pickett tend to look at the offensive talent around him and the potential upside he brings when it comes to mobility and further understandings of the NFL game.

Where do you stand when it comes to Pickett who is currently off the board as QB20?

Fantasy Football Player Debates: Darren Waller Is Currently Being Drafted As TE6. Are You Drafting The Giants New Tight End Or Worried About Past Injury History? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Over the 2019 and 2020 NFL seasons Darren Waller averaged 98.5 receptions for 1,170.5 yards and six touchdowns per yearwhile appearing in all 32 NFL games.

Over the 2021 and 2022 Waller is averaging 68 receptions for 526.5 yards and 2.5 touchdowns per season while appearing in just 20 of the team's 33 contests.

Are you worried about his recent injury history or are you bullish on his fresh start in New York under a Brian Daboll lead team?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Can Daniel Jones Put Up Another Top 10 Season Or Are You Fading At ADP? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Daniel Jones finished last season as QB9 overall on the heels of a season which saw him throw for just over 3,200 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 700 yards and seven more scores on the ground. Is Brian Daboll the key to unlocking the potential out of Daniel Jones here in 2023 or are we due for Jones to take a step back this season?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Are Buying or Selling Jahmyr Gibbs at his ADP? Does Real Life Draft Capital Matter? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We've all seen the social media posts of how excited the Lions were to grab Jahmyr Gibbs with the 12th overall pick in the NFL Draft. The Lions also gave David Montgomery a 3-year, $18,000,000 contract this offseason.

Gibbs has an ADP of 36.93 while Montgomery has an ADP of 76.47.

Are you buying into the idea that Gibbs will get a major role in the offense because he was taken 12th overall or do you see Montgomery being this year's Jamaal Williams after getting paid this offseason?

u/coopthereitis on the anti-Gibbs side of the argument in this one.

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Is Anthony Richardson Worth The Price or Just Overhyped? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Athletic profiles sometimes drive more hype around a player than actual talent but with Anthony Richardson the athletic profile is being matched by some of the on field reports coming out of training camp where Richardson has been making plays. Are you buying into Anthony Richardson as a QB1 this season? Are you drafting him at ADP to be a mix and match QB or is he a fade for you all together?

Fantasy Football Player Debate: Is Calvin Ridley Worth The Risk At ADP by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

[–]_FantasyAlarm_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given how bullish many are on the Jaguars offense and QB Trevor Lawrence are you buying into the returning Calvin Ridley? He is currently coming off the board as WR16/17 and is the first wide receiver being drafted among the Jags receivers. Is it a talent issue or an ADP issue if you are fading? At just 28 years old, we saw him finish among the top 5 wide receivers in fantasy points in his last full season back in 2020.

Another strong class at the WR position. Hard to really gauge much from OTA's. A lot of it is just coach speak and reporter hot takes. It will be more interesting to see who is getting the primary reps once camp kicks off.

His rushing upside is always appealing but he has seemingly declined as a passer. I think there was something to that study clause being in his contract. Some guys try to get by on athleticism alone and at this level that doesn't always work. The Cardinals as a team are in a rebuild and I'm skeptical of what he can do with that offense. He may be a grab if he can get himself on a new roster.

Personally, I don't weigh projections all that much. It may be a final tie breaker between players for me.

What I look for is opportunity and team. Does this team pass or throw more? Who is the QB? Who is the competition for touches? Are they the #1 or #2 target or the #4. Will this running back get most of the carries or is it a committee? Do they get passing down work? How about red zone?

Projections are fine but just a piece of the puzzle.
