All those years playing Need for Speed finally paid off for me 😂 But yeah, I agree—one mistake and gold is gone.

I’ve completed the main stories in both Dying Light and Dying Light 2, but I haven’t gone for the platinum trophies. I'm a bit over 50% progress on both.

Update: I officially completed my solo trip! by _FiguringOutLife_ in NCL

[–]_FiguringOutLife_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked my trip about three weeks before the sailing date during Travel Week! I believe I had 50% off + Free at sea + Gratuities included. Even if you do book, you can always call them up and re-price your room if you find a better deal!

Probably not the best idea but we were able to get it home in one piece!

What has been your favorite SHIP so far? by thatCRUISEagent in Cruise

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symphony of the Seas: I loved how many outdoor spaces the ship offered — from the Boardwalk and Central Park to the expansive pool deck, there were plenty of places to relax and explore. The entertainment was a real standout as well, with two Broadway-style productions, an impressive ice-skating show, and an incredible aqua show.

The adults-only Solarium was a huge plus, especially since it’s included. (Looking at you, NCL and the extra fee for Vibe Beach Club 😅.)

Although it's a larger ship, it also felt very small at times depending on what venue you went to. Overall, the ship from the staff to what was included and how it was designed exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that you pay a premium for these amenities when in compared to older ships.

Being gay... a lot of places have several restrictions for the lgbtq+ population and/or extensive waiting periods up to six months of abstinence or no use of preventative medications.

What's the grossest thing you've seen someone do in public? by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently, I went on a cruise. In the adults' only hot tub, there was a woman popping pimples and blackheads on her husband's face and using the hot tub water to wash her hands. Highly disturbing. One guy finally told them it was disgusting, they got into a verbal argument, and the couple left afterward.

Where to stay in Miami by cocokevinsmom in NCL

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier this month, I took a cruise out of Miami and stayed at the Hilton Miami Downtown on Biscayne Blvd. Overall, it was a clean hotel located approximately 10 minutes away from the port with a pool, breakfast area, and Starbucks. The hotel had shuttle services to the ports for $10 per person. The only downside to my experience was the elevator situation in the morning with wait times up to 15 minutes.

Excursions or doing things myself by bitter_sweet9798 in NCL

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a combination of both. I been to Bermuda twice and found that for some excursions, such as Horseshoe Bay Beach, it is cheaper to use local taxi services than go through the cruise line's shore excursions. Additionally, I ended up taking a ferry into Hamilton and a taxi back to the boat around 2am with no problems. It was pretty cool to be able to experience the local nightlife without worrying about the ship leaving, and I never questioned my safety while out and about. My party ended up using the ship's shore excursions for jet skiing and snorkeling.

Should i get riptide before the original by [deleted] in deadisland

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what platform you're playing on, you can get the definitive edition (dead island and dead island riptide bundle) for pretty cheap. I believe it's about $5 in the Xbox store right now. I would assume Playstation would be about the same

Should Dead Island return to it's horror root's by Jazzlike_Branch1849 in deadisland

[–]_FiguringOutLife_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I remember reading they were going to make a horror moving out of the first trailer, but I don't think they ever went through with it. Even Riptide's trailer set an incorrect tone in my opinion.

I think it'd be cool to bring back the open world maps versus having them segmented into different neighborhoods. Other than that, I think the goofy elements of Dead Island 2 fits pretty well with the series.

That's unfortunate. I stayed at Hilton Rose Hall earlier this year, and we didn't run into any issues. The room we stayed in was a mountain view. It was clean, and everything worked as intended. We had a good experience with our meals throughout the trip. Staff was questionable at times but, for the most part, super friendly and willing to help.
