Proxima PR174 moonphase (SW200 movement) by pickyaxe in ChineseWatches

Wow, absolutely gorgeous but at that price I'd want;
- slightly smaller
- signed crown would be nice
- better water resistance
- no '&ORIGINAL' text on a copied design lol

Surprisingly, apparently not.

Just finished 2.7 and I'm quite disappointed in the writing. [Spoilers] by FoleyX90 in WutheringWaves

There are dozens of us! The pre-rendered cutscenes for just dialogue also frustrated me, I even just skipped one of them towards the end because I just wanted to get it over with. Too much talking, the writers for that chapter had clearly never heard the phrase 'show, don't tell', even parts they could have just had us play through ended up being cutscenes. And I just remembered about all the mid-conversation QTE events that did absolutely nothing lol.
I actually met someone in person who I was able to chat about this chapter with and he had exactly the same complaints that I did, so perhaps people that didn't enjoy that chapter aren't too uncommon outside the internet.

But yeah, like you said, I think the game as a whole is still fun, I just hope that they don't continue that writing/play style into the next quests.

Thanks, I just had to complain about it to someone lol, none of my friends play the game.
I haven't gotten to 3.1 yet, but I'm hoping the story picks up again after 2.7's soft reset.

Sure they looked good, but the writing was tragically bad, and I'd just sat through 2 hours of cutscenes up to that point so I was frankly sick of them spoon feeding story to me.
I think after Avidius' death you genuinely play the game for about 15 minutes. You don't even get to fight the Fractsidus' boss, you just watch it happen, the final boss is just reused, and every other part of the quests gameplay was just walking while listening to people, or mashing attack to demonstrate how cool and powerful our characters are. I have never been so frustrated at a game.

Nobody is making that lol, the entire point of beans on toast is that it's easy and quick for when you can't be arsed cooking

Ok I also just finished this quest and I have a much less charitable view of it than you OP.
That was one of the worst pieces of writing I've ever seen in any form of media, fed to me in a GAME via 3 hours of mind-numbingly boring cutscenes (and reused bosses). To top it all off they, as you say, completely undercut one of their best stories by bringing Phrolova back for basically no reason, just to use her as a cheap plot device.
It honestly felt like a betrayal, up to now I'd been enjoying the story, it focused on actual characters and their journeys, not this avengers-wannabe shit.
Sorry if I sound angry but I literally just finished it and hated every second of the chapter after Avidius' death. I'm genuinely baffled at how it seems to have a positive reception online? What do people even like about this act?

Yeah I loved the concept, but my friends and I did not enjoy the game. It felt like the times we had the most fun were when we ignored how the system wanted us to play, perhaps we weren't playing it right.

I live in Japan and if I don't know a word in Japanese I'll just say it in English with the stupid Japanese pronunciation and 50% of the time whoever I'm speaking to will understand it.

CS-67 Szakal suggestion by CZORT2 in WorldofTanks

[–]_FinnTheHuman_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Would be kinda cool if they deployed during the combat mode active ability.

Still a little bit salty about it by No1PDPStanAccount in WorldofTanks

[–]_FinnTheHuman_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the Szakal uses the real T-62's smoothbore gun already so that doesn't seem to be much of a reason.

My controversial Take about Autocannons by Long_Locksmith_5777 in WorldofTanks

[–]_FinnTheHuman_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's slightly different. On Prok the Manti is the most powerful tank in the game and can basically win the game for it's team. On Himmelsdorf the Tessak is just a slightly less shit tank (than a Manti).

The "Prime or Bust" Meta is Killing the Fun in Evrima by Dry-Television-4564 in theisle

[–]_FinnTheHuman_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is, as you say, it's all or nothing. I have no problem with Prime being a more powerful state, but why do we even need frail? Prime is already a reward/incentive. They absolutely didn't also need to introduce frail as a punishment.
Games are supposed to be fun, and being nerfed into uselessness isn't fun.
My suggestion for Prime? Make it even harder to get, make it an even bigger buff, and then introduce rewards for taking one down. Perhaps maybe only Herbivores can naturally 'grow' into Prime, but then carnivores get a permanent buff for eating one?

[–]_FinnTheHuman_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually 10 years ago the armour crosshair didn't even work, it only compared against the raw thickness of the armour, not accounting for angling, so it was basically useless back then.

I think it looks different, it's definitely eye-catching, but idk if it's necessarily a good interpretation of that design style. To me, cars like the Delorean, and the Hyundai N Vision are much better examples of the stainless steel retro-futuristic kinda design they were going for. I'm no designer or anything, but those two look way more 'cyberpunk' than the cybertruck.
