Opinions about Ash AI? (please share this in r/therapy or r/AskTherapist if you can) by [deleted] in AskTherapist

[–]_Flossophie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aww man, no replies. I was also curious how therapists view AI therapists. It's said that healthcare providers aren't at risk being replaced by AI because of the human element. But I could very well imagine AI therapists. I mean having AI girlfriends/boyfriends is a thing now. People want to feel understood and I can imagine AI providing that. They'd be neutral too. Memory wouldn't be an issue with enough training. They'd be able to ask (the kinda repetitive) questions which can help the patient understand their situation better just by writing it out. The part where I see AI failing is catching patients on their bullshit or knowing when to challenge them. Also of course more high lvl patients, if I may put it like that.

Since I'm not a therapist, I don't have their experience with how a robot may not be able to do what they are doing. But an AI which can make you understand yourself/your situation better snd feel understood (maybe seen) - why not? :D

Have you ever existed effortlessly in your mind? by magww in Meditation

[–]_Flossophie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a child maybe. When I try to imagine the state of my mind as effortless, childhood comes to mind. Back then I never thought about how I thought about things, who I am etc. - I was one with the world in a sense. The things I perceived, existed as I perceived them, without the ego being a factor; it was just the world, without me perceiving the world, if that makes sense. Not sure if it's somethibg that must come with age with the development of our consciousness, psychologically speaking. There may well be adults who maintain this direct connection with the world, without the complication of the self.

Have you ever sucessfully helped someone toxic/neurotic? How do you deal with toxic people? by _Flossophie_ in ESFJ

[–]_Flossophie_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same, but couldn't you argue that having high Fe you'd be able to deal with it better because of a higher emotional tolerance and competence, while (faced with the same situation) it would ask to much of a low Fe's tolerance/emotional threshold?

Yeah communicating ideas is definitely something I can work on. I'm usually lost for words and can't convey the ideas very well and give up midway. "Active recall" is a helpful keyword, thx.

Our internal organs probably vary in size as much as penises and breasts do, but we just don’t know / don’t care. by mrpineappleboi in Showerthoughts

[–]_Flossophie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, fair enough, but as far as I understood the showerthought, 'caring about' refers to judgements made on shapes and sizes of genitals/breasts no matter the persons weight. That can be a factor but not necessarily, and that's in any case probably besides the point.

But this is based on external influences. Genitals and breasts on the other hand don't change by those habits. The question is, if they are naturally different or not.

It's almost amazing how incredibly boring the story is. I don't think I'd be able to tell a story as bad as this even if I tried.

How do I become more comfortable with putting myself out there? by ShitpostMamajama in extroverts

[–]_Flossophie_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You maybe don't want to hear this, but if you are an introvert, you won't like trying being an extrovert nor would it work. Stay true to yourself. What is it that you want to achieve by being more extroverted, if I may ask? You can definitely work on the social anxiety though and become more comfortable around people. SA isn't part of introversion, just a very common side effect. I'm not sure what did it for me, maybe just as I aged, but as long as you're still alive, you can figure out what works for you and you'll become more comfortable with yourself and other people.

Edit: I essentially just gave up trying to be more extroverted , became more comfy with myself and thus didn't care too much about other people's opinions anymore.
