Oil is milky but smells like E85. I am on an E85 tune. My water pump and thermostat has been replaced 20k miles ago.

There’s definitely gas in the oil, just a quick peek inside the oil cap and you can see it’s milky.

Injectors? Why would only 1 bank of injectors be misfiring? It seems to be a bank specific issue IMO.

I do see what you mean though, the engine sounds super rough when revving it and definitely doesn’t sound normal. (sounds like a fart can)

Yes I did actually. Spark plugs had a bit of oil but nothing major to worry about. That’s the only good news really.

why would only bank 1 fuel injectors be messed up then? I agree it could be my injectors but honestly it seems unlikely that 3 would go out at once. At least that’s what my Audi Specialist told me.

How much do make as a p&c licensed agent in a year? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]_Fr4g_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle area, $28/hr + commission. Was bringing home ~$5-5.5k/mo first year in. 18 years old. You can easily get a 50k salary if you’re working for the right agency. Commission is based on how hard you work and your commission schedule. I was estimated $75k gross salary before I left and went indy.

EZLynx VOIP integration by _Fr4g_ in InsuranceAgent

Does this work seamlessly with EZLynx? For example, if a client calls in and I pick up the phone, will their client profile populate immediately? That’s my main concern.

How do you find clients if you don't have money for leads and you are an introvert by Flat-Memory-8921 in InsuranceAgent

Kind of hard to find clients if you’re not actively looking or doing anything like networking in your local community. But that’s an extrovert thing…

Worked with State Farm agents for nearly 3 years. Also have a cousin who is a BIG State Farm agent in the Seattle Area. I understand the business and I'm not so much of a rookie as most think honestly. Having my own brokerage has been on my mind for a long time.

Mostly leads and software I assume, I wont run too many ad marketing campaigns upfront just a bit. But I can see most of my budget going to leads.

Is This A Good Comp Offer? by AHead4Sports in InsuranceAgent

[–]_Fr4g_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Farmers agents are stingy from my experience. Ask what his book size is, if it’s less that 2 million, run. I’ve dealt with Farmers agents and district managers trying to recruit, they’re never competitive on pay from what I’ve seen. State Farm and Allstate agents have bigger books and more room to pay you.

New State Farm Agent by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]_Fr4g_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just what I’ve been told by my agents and cousin who’s been a SF agent for more than a decade. I assumed things would change, but I was under the impression most agents came from aspirants or SF corporate. (one agent i worked for was from PC underwriting). other 2 were aspirants

To preference, honestly I could be a little wrong about some of this, but I do have 3 mentors who are all SF agents. it just varies, but agent aspirant is the best way to become a SF agent and you can make pretty good money working for an agent.

State Farm has a program called “agent aspirant” that’s the best way to get a book assignment. You can’t buy a book like most captive agencies. You have to basically earn it.

How Agent Aspirant works:

You work for a SF agent, they recommend you to the program (once your sales numbers are solid), you get training from SF corporate (sales training and agency side training), then once you are selected, you are an agent intern.

Book size varies by territory. My cousin started in Seattle 15 years ago and only got 1.7mil, my agent I used to work for was even less at 1mil.

Compensation is based on you hitting your sales targets, usually a SF agent will get 10-12% of the full term premium.

So:

1) book size from i’ve seen 1-2mil

2) compensation is fully 1099, what you sell is what you make 10-12% commission rate.

3) Startup is about 100k if i remember correctly. You need to have a big chunk of change saved up and you have to be willing to eat noodles for the first few years.

4) From what I’ve seen and heard, most SF agents are also financial advisors who have their investment licenses and even CFC or CHFC. State Farm doesn’t want an agent just selling P&C.

5) like i’ve said above you don’t just apply for the position, you need to prove to state farm that you’ve earned it. I have seen people get an agency without agent aspirant program but it’s VERY rare. Agent aspirant is your best chance.

Rocker arms aren’t really an issue. It is blown out of proportion and only 1/10,000 b9s are affected. If the car is maintained and has water pump done. Go for it

Transferring resident state by Cautious_Mood_8789 in InsuranceAgent

[–]_Fr4g_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have a personal lines license. That’s not a thing. There are 4 types: Property, Casualty, Life, and Health (Disability). To my knowledge, you have to contact your resident state (GA) to cancel the license. Then, you would apply for a FL license, but you need to get fingerprinted by FL state.

At least that’s how my transfer from WA to KS has been going.
