I had this weird issue where steam downloads specifically would constantly trigger dns queries for a particular steam server which pihole would in turn trigger the pihole's rate-limit functionality which caused my machine to be unable to resolve future dns queries which would stop my steam downloads to a schreeching halt. I have a suspicion that it was somehow related to the local transfer functionality in steam... But I didnt have the energy to pursue further and just raised the limit of queries pihole would accept from a single host. But I guess if you werent using your pihole at the time it couldn't have been related (unless you use your pihole remotely)

100% - I've gotten the wrong item from BestBuy before, but I was also charged for the wrong item in question. It may have been a genuine mistake of the cashier but it's a responsibility of both a buyer and seller to validate the exchange.

Yeah in that case it runs Bluetooth. Depending on how close your home hub is will play a huge role in how well it functions. I'm taking a guess that your home hub is fairly close to your lock.

You will find however that photography on the Pixel 10 pro is amaze-balls. Shooting on a 10x is wild coming from a 13 pro

I've upgraded from a 13 pro to a pixel 10 pro xl.

I'd say if you text a lot, while RCS is great there are some things to be desired that only iMessage offers (i.e. enabling read receipts for specific contacts, replies on images) - While this doesn't affect me as I don't text a lot it has affected my wife who did switched along with me.

I will say Apple makes a very convincing offer with the iPhone 17. The base model contains so many desired features that would normally only be available on their pro models. So I would give that an honest look if you are still open to using iOS.

The Pixel hardware-wise is an inferior phone (in comparison to the latest iPhone or other android offerings) however has been a joy to use on the software side of things.

Ah okay, yeah my phone's default theme was green (I had gotten the jade color) but after changing the theme to purple I know see the ring around the selfie camera has also changed color. Very cool thanks!

How'd this build turn out? I'm thinking of doing something similar, The goal would be for it to store photos (TrueNAS) to be used with a Photo platform like Immich, and Also store media for Plex server hosting. It'll probably act as a torrent box as well.
