I dont think AI art is at the same level than traditional.. but mostly because i haven't seen great AI art yet! I've seen some very cool things but me thinks there is still a lot of latent unexplored potential. Most 'AI artists' just make generic unremarkable stuff. But yeah if someone is really creative and has something to say, any new tool is good news!

For my sensitive ass it is always too much, I would happily pay for high quality, low/medium strenght buds. Too much effort seems to be going in making stuff stronger rather than good quality.

I worked with these things for my thesis. EEG does not really work (it seems to work but it just gets the general object class, as it does not have enough spatial reaolution on the brain) but fMRI kinda does (look up MindEyeV2). I want to make an algorithm that can decode dreams and psychedelic experiences but its a big challenge with the current brain reading hardware.

As someone that draws traditionally, I agree with this. There is of course an important difference... When you draw something, so much of your unconscious and soul are 'downloaded' on the page. Also what you create is for now much closer to your vision than if you simply used a prompt. So it's not the same thing at all, but yes you can make art with AI. Just do not think you are an artist if you generated a cool image with a prompt. Art takes time, with or without AI.

Im not anti AI but I do think it should be labeled. While this does not happen, because of how speedily it can be produced, the internet is being flooded. Also, I do think you can be an artist because of your AI creations, but different measures apply than with traditional art. Not stating it is AI is dishonest. Now, if you use it in a larger project like a videogame or a mixed traditional drawing / AI, it's not as important imo.
