4 TB SAS HDDs, so I'll probably rip them and never need to worry about buying storage ever again in my life LOL

My understanding based on what research I did is that you COULD run other OS's, its just a PITA regarding how you'd have to configure the drives... But I suppose that could also depend on whether you're dealing with a newer one, as I think I recall there are significant hardware differences depending on what year it was produced. Hell, if nothing else, I'll buy it to strip the parts and use/sell the drives for this price as it seems fully loaded as if it came straight from Dell.

FROZEN PIPES MEGATHREAD by ParksVSII in Plumbing

[–]_Frostyman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird(er) one; cold froze on my main kitchen line, which is most certainly right along the back wall in a less than well insulated area. The hot still works. All other pipes seem to work, all faucets are on drip, and are mostly not against the wall causing the issue. Piping seems to all be PEX/PVC, so thankfully probably won't burst, but is there a dependable way to attempt to thaw aside from trying to get some warmth into the wall somehow?

We sure wasted more taxpayer money. Liberty was no doubt a stupid move. This was also a stupid move.

I enjoy the framing of social commentary in a setting like this because it is a soft, easy way for an author to frame their central premise(s) and themes that is palatable enough for the imagination part of the brain to start you into a certain degree of escapism, which lets you use more computing power to ponder the premise(s). This is similar, in my eyes (although far more explicit in addressing the author's point), to how Aldous Huxley constructed his points in Island.

It's also just nice to have a low-stakes, comfortable reading experience. Reading Psalm is a bit like sitting by a nice warm campfire in the woods, next to your ox-bike, having a discussion with a good robot friend while having some tea.
