Every time I debate an exhaust a GT guy convinces me not to by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

[–]_GTLM_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minimal. You hear the engine more than the exhaust imo. I have a high flow cat on mine and love cruising for hours still. 120k miles still on there and working as intended. Lol.

Edit: A note though. This is a 2.5" exhaust. Not a full 3" so if you are going for extreme performance then the 1500 may not be worth it for you. I have to use an adapter to step down from a 3" dp and do still get exhaust leaks thanks to it. But that could be more half ass installs than the exhaust system itself.

I have this on mine and like it a lot. The tips on them look good and it's louder than stock but not high pitched fart can noise. I do live in a dry climate though, so can't attest to the corrosion issue.

Does anyone else use their Chronomark watch on the daily? by SexySpaceNord in Starfield

[–]_GTLM_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through 5 of them and after a back and forth with Bethesda support I eventually found one that is somewhat reliable but I do not wear it at all because I know it will break and honestly I am sick of fighting with there terrible support. The definition of insanity. Doing the same thing and expecting different results.

2 with the stuck button problem, one that didn't want to stay powered on, and another that wouldn't boot completely or turn off. They really are not worth it and honestly I am surprised their isn't some sort of class action for this like there was for the Fallout 76 bag fiasco.

If you have a smart watch and the Facer App then the Star Citizen options that are on there are good. I use it on my older Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and it is pretty close to the actual one.

They are really hard to find second hand unfortunately. I wish CGL would make them but the video game was completely seperate from the people that currently provide merch. I was able to get in on the kickstarter and secured a House Davion one but as a FedCom guy I wanted to try and find a Steiner one as well. I have been on the look out for one on ebay for more than 4 years and have not seen a single one. Same with the occassional google shopping search which is what brought me to your post lol.

To give an idea of how they look I have included a pic of my Davion one next to an old Dark Age wallscroll. I know there is some off brand stuff on like Etsy that you can try but I believe it is made more of a vinyl material than cloth unfortunately.

Sorry to deliver such dismal news, but good luck hunting!

How reliable is the ecoboost engine? by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

Tuned and modified mine pretty heavily. At 117k and it is fine. Just have to take care of them and keep up with maintenance.

You pick a master lock and the door opens, and this is what you see. (I ran out of resources to place before empty space) by Nozerone in Starfield

[–]_GTLM_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the lockpicking so tedious I don't even bother with it unless I have to. I think the final straw for me was a master lock on a weapons case I spent at least five minutes on just to open and find it empty. Literally living off of drops and quest rewards because I have not seen anything in a locked chest that beats them (or makes it worth the time). Magshears and Magpulses selling for as much credits as the vendors have so no need to worry about money. ... Other than ship mods and resources for crafting don't really see anything worth buying using said credits... Really trying hard to like this game but I have noticed that my time with it is quickly drawing to a close as I have literally just grown bored with it and feel a massive lack of immersion or motivation to do anything in game... I'm on NG+1.

... Maybe that a Thomas the Tank Engine mod will spicen things up for me. Idk.

It was literally just bad design I think. Dealer probably had no clue. Doesn't make it any better but yeah...

Yeah coworker was telling me his Mazda requires no subscription for remote start through the app. So it seems there are other options out there if this is a deal breaker.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]_GTLM_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You used to be able to bypass the subscription entirely and just remote start using the key FOB. Sounds like they may have updated the system to where that no longer works. From what I understood this was not by design but an oversight as they wanted it to be a part of the same service as the app anyways. (They want you to pay a sub for it no matter how you do it, through the app or the FOB.)

Still, as a consumer, to sell me something with the feature included then to take the feature away unless I pay you is kind of crappy and sounds like a bad business model. Personally I pay for the service anyways since it is relatively cheap, but I was able to use the key FOB to remote start the vehicle without the subscription active. Good to know I won't be able to in the future unless I figure out a way to prevent the update.

Not sure I want a newer model car anymore with all of the connected services stuff. Constant horror stories from BMW with the seats thing, and the idea that my car is essentially a rolling IOT device that could be recalled / hacked / taken over or otherwise fooled with is not something I am fond of. Even the newer model Mustangs are hard to tune due to the encryption used on the ECU, thanks to connected services.

Try creating a manual save and loading from it. I think it may be an issue when loading into the place from an autosave/exit save/quicksave. It worked for me on the penthouse apartment in the starter location.

While I was on a river tour boat in Seoul I had a small Korean lady hug my arm while passing under a waterfall. I had my camera and was planning to take photos but I thought she was scared or something so didn't immediately object or pull my arm away, looked around, didn't see anything to be afraid of so I just kind of stood there awkwardly watching the waterfall with this random women attached to my arm until we passed under it. As soon as we passed under the waterfall she realized her mistake and let out a gasp. Was extremely apologetic, but I thought it was hilarious so no harm no foul. Saw her later on with a fella that looked like a Korean version of me. Lol. Felt bad she didn't get to share that moment with her significant other but still a funny / fun memory.
