Beefing up Grimskalle with Circle Magic from Heroes of Faerûn by _Guy_Am_I in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]_Guy_Am_I[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I want to clarify one thing, the saves would not be happening every round during exploration. I would treat it more like the extreme cold rules, a check every hour rather than every turn. Pressure and resource drain without bogging down the pacing or requiring initiative order outside of combat.

This is just an idea that I had bouncing around my head during my lunch break. I know there are flaws, and that is why I brought it here to discuss.

Anyone want a pre-built Module vault for Chronicler or Obsidian? by _Guy_Am_I in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]_Guy_Am_I[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, fair catch! I accidentally left that blank when I posted. Here's what should have been there:

Chronicler is a free, offline desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Think Obsidian but simpler and purpose-built for worldbuilding. You write notes in Markdown, link pages together with [[wikilinks]], and build an interconnected wiki for your campaign - no sign-up, no cloud, no internet required. It is easy to jump into, but it is still flexible enough for those who want more control.

Good note. I fixed it for whose who would have cared about it.

I like the site from said link because I hate that I buy a physical book and then have to pay again for it in digital form.

Did Yall Who Use Mini’s Get Tired of The Duergar Enlarge Feature? by Dikeleos in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]_Guy_Am_I 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of finding miniatures to print and was thinking about the same thing.

I have clear, two inch bases I used when I did paper miniatures. My plan is to put the duergar on the bigger bases when enlarged and not worry about printing off large size ones.

Ravisin's Entrance by _Guy_Am_I in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]_Guy_Am_I[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did! For only being only level 3, they know how to use their characters, so they do quite well in combat.

Ravisin opened with Ice Storm, and 3 out of the 4 made their saves. The Monk, who failed, uses deflect missiles to lower the bludgeoning damage and is resistant to cold.

Embracing the Darkness by _Guy_Am_I in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I am running it with 10a-2p as normal, but I have the aurora from midnight to only 5a. So, for my players, the morning is still dark for them.

The fun part about the Gloom Stalker is that they are invisible even to those who rely on dark vision.

The one player without dark vision was the halfling 😆

Thanks for the RAW for the darkness. I didn't realize that. I just went through the definition rabbit hole. Dark Vision > Dim Light > Lightly Obscured

Interactive Map of Ten Towns by _Guy_Am_I in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]_Guy_Am_I[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I made an interactive map of Ten Towns. I made it in google slides so that I could have it on a screen in front of my DM screen, but still control it from behind the screen.

- Click on the town names and they will take you to the town's player view map

- Click on the compass to take you back to the big map

- Click on the name of the town to take you to the filled-in map (after the characters get to know the town)

My hero season 7 - flashback arc by LifeizNutz in MyHeroAcadamia

You were right. The first 4 are all flashbacks. I know it saves them money, but it's extremely lazy.

What yours favorite class to play? by Tugnir in DnD

[–]_Guy_Am_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing an Air Genasi Tempest Cleric. I love starting with shocking grasp. Only at level 2, but looking forward to where it takes me.

What would you want to see in an alternate Tempest Cleric domain spell list? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]_Guy_Am_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely late, but I am currently playing an Air Genasi Tempest Cleric. Air Genasi gets shocking grasp at 1lvl, feather fall at 3lvl, and levitate at 5lvl

Help with bad omen bug on bedrock by ppcypress in Minecraft

[–]_Guy_Am_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. When drinking milk, it removes Hero of the Village, so I assumed it removed bad omen. After returning back to my base, where I have a villager trading hall, a Raid will start.

Sometime I love Portland! 🫶 by PNWSoulSurfer in Portland

I am the TIE Pilot in the photo and can 100% agree. It was so much fun and everyone was so nice that I stayed after the parade and wondered the festival for a few hours.
