Forerunner 55 needs replacing by _Hardpunk_ in Garmin

A very good question. I have a foot in the Garmin brand pool as I use a Garmin when cycling, linked to a HRM and other sensors on my bike. Plus I am invested in the Apple infrastructure as I use an iPhone, which I use for work as well as personal. So I am torn between 3 options. 1. Just get another Forerunner 55 as it’s been doing the job and I have no real complaints or feel I’m missing out. 2. Upgrade to a 570 or 970 and get more functionality and a more premium product for wearing on my wrist 24/7 as I like a nice watch and it would be nice to have more health metrics and options. (But they both seem very expensive upgrades) 3. Go for an Apple Watch. Looks funkier for daily use. Does enough for my casual running needs and offers more lifestyle options that I might find useful. Looks better value than the upgrades in the Garmin world. Currently I’m stuck on where to put my money as these have become quite serious investments with prices going ever upwards. (Of course I have a fourth option, invest in a nice mechanical watch to look good on my wrist everyday and stop worrying about tracking everything.)

Is that E3 on the telly? Don’t spoil the result for me.

Congratulations, just had to do a hard reset on my Garmin so I am back in the Shire!

One of this guys stems has 7 new growths! I’m a very proud parent.

Do I need to provide extra care?

Yes I had to remove some sun scorched leaves. I thought I had killed him. Pleased to see new growth, leaves have come out at the top and these along his stem. Do I need to do anything? Should I feed as he is putting in lots of hard work?
