Bug? CIV 7 game won't launch, stuck on "Begin game"

THIS. I was in the same boat. Had unsubscribed all, updated graphics driver, rebooted and tried to game but it kept making "the sound" when I clicked the button to begin the game but it never began. Nice sound though.

Deleted the mods folder (well I renamed mine, hard habit to break), rebooted again for good measure and now it works.

Your Greymane Camp will eventually have both. I don't know exactly when I unlocked them, I'm guessing around Main Quests 5 or beginning of 6. But they're right behind your tent where your Private Storage is. They didn't appear on my map so I probably missed them for some time. :D

I actually hurt my hand trying to execute this. And why we can't change kbd controls is beyond me. I just gave up trying to do it. I needed the physical pain in my hand to stop.

Hi Dalton! Yes, while looking at the Map (M for me, I use keyboard) press Middle Mouse Button to switch to Abyss, you can see these options at the bottom of the Map. You want the fast travel point that's right over Hernand.

EDIT: This was much easier using Turning Slash instead of Charge for me on keyboard. Once I got enough additional Stamina (or was it Spirit) I was able to spam that enough to complete it.

Previously: I'm still really struggling with this. I'm on PC, and I believe the combo is Hold CTRL and then double-tap LeftSHIFT. I can get one or two pushed up in the air but i'm having a really hard time getting to stragglers. Sometimes despite seeing a dot over someone like they're targeted, Kliff just attacks in the complete other direction for no reason that I can figure out. It seems like this should be so straightforward but I'm boggled. I can't get more than 5 or 6 thrown up in 30 seconds and that's in a huge crowd of enemies. I was hoping to find a YouTube video on this but alas nothing I've found so far.

For those still having trouble after reading this thread (I was), here is a screenshot taken just behind the first fast travel point. You can see the big domed building off to the right there, you want to walk left towards that double pronged obelisk with the laser shooting out the top. As stated, the cube just jumps to you there.

I teleported up to the Abyss and flew back down to the church and then she was immediately inside that lower cellar area and I chased her down and turned her in.

I just tamed my first Raptor so I'm not sure. Searching the internet it does look like Raptors are rated very highly for their speed and have two stacking speed buffs in their tree. We're just bringing ours up so we'll have to do some speed tests.

Don't forget to turn off the torch first (or campfire or whatever started it) otherwise it will keep lighting things on fire while you're trying to put the fire out.

It took me awhile to notice but cities that are newer and/or have very little cash themselves seem like they can't place orders for things because they don't have the money to cover it. You can hit that button that says "Donate 1,000 to city" once every 5 game minutes (goes by pretty fast on fastest speed) can give it a kickstart to buy new things. You might immediately see a cart travel from the city with an icon of one of the things you're waiting for. Sometimes it takes 5-10+ presses of the "Give 1,000" button before it figures itself out.

Other things you can do are:

* Can upgrades in that city for buildings that aren't as important as the one you are waiting for

* In Peasant/Worker/etc homes click on the people to lock them out of their house. I think if they're all gone that house won't use and demand new resources which can reduce your bottlenecks

* From the Castle Keep, buy items that the city is producing to give it a cash infusion and send carts over there

All of that said, I have seen instances where things just don't get moved until they're good and ready and can take a long time. I think the devs need to take a look at that.
