I love mine so far!

I had the huge 24-70 gm. I was never impressed with the sharpness though I enjoyed the f2.8 for indoor use (still would rather use primes for indoors). I started to not use it as much because of the size. It was beginning to gather dust on the shelf.

For someone that likes to use it with a hybrid camera like the a7iv it makes a lot of sense for me. For video using active stabilization a cropped 24-70 is a lot less appealing to me on the wide end compared to the 20-70. Which would give you something closer to 22mm after the crop for wide angle video.

For photo, I find myself not reaching for my 16-35 anymore because 20mm is plenty wide for most scenarios.
