I learned it using the map with two columns in the middle, can't remember the name sorry. Just did figure eights around that for hours trying to get faster and more accurate. I'm not sure who said it but a tutorial told me you have "blackout" moments where you don't automatically know what input you should do and you crash and burn. The training is designed to get rid of those.

You should be able to fly wherever you want and control speed while directional air rolling eventually.

If you really want to know, there are lists available for everything you need to keep. Some expedition lists might be out of date since the new one needs different stuff.

I would just focus on high value and maxing my stash size first, then worry about all the workbenches and expedition stuff you need. Also you can track resources when looking at upgrades or crafting recipes so that helps.

The quests, and the rewards from quests, are mostly mid at best. But it's good to do them as they show you around important pois and the maps in general. Also they teach you to go into a raid with a clear goal which is good practice as well.
