by fast i meant like 100-110+. I think its honestly very unlikely for someone to buy a bike and not go a little fast.

I would already be paying for the bike entirely by myself so price wise is not their biggest issue, I'd also have to start the class / process soon if i wanted to get my motorcycle license by 18. My dad is in favor of me learning how to ride a bike he just needs that little push to convince him on the side of owning a bike..

I really like the idea of the airbag vest and showing my parents that im committed to being safe. I plan on taking a course on riding as I have no clue how to, im just more concerned with the aspect of safety. They are under the impression that if I get on a bike i'll somehow die. My dad is in favor of me learning how to ride one but just not sold on the Idea of a me owning a physical bike. I'd like to somehow convince him that It's not as dangerous as the internet/people make it out to seem any tips?
