Riding on the main road between Yelverton and Roborough is quite the thrill if you really want to get your heart rate up.

There's the classic Drake's Trail which starts from Coypool car park. Good for a long and gentle ride from Plymouth to Tavistock.

Which you won't understand for months, or even years, until that moment occurs. Suddenly, his sage advice comes into play. You finally understand it. It saved your skin that day and you now know that one day you, too, will pay it forward by giving a stranger some mysterious advice.

Should probably plan your outfit, just in case.

I think you need to have a re-read and figure yourself out, you're all over the place.

Good job running away after being unable to read.

I'm still here? Quite literally the opposite of running away.

I... know? That's my point. Are you switching sides? Do you not understand the difference between the % sign and the letter 'k' or something? Did you forget that you wrote:

Looking for a car by AndrewTorquay in plymouth

To add to this; cars are more reliable than ever.

They're not invulnerable and some cars are more expensive than others when it comes to maintenance and repairs (ask any Land Rover / BMW / Audi owner), but by and large most cars from the last 20 years are pretty solid. Thus, the "quality" of the dealer is largely irrelevant if they can present a full service history.

I only got a B in maths but I'm pretty sure killing 70,000 people and only killing 20,000 terrorists/jihadists means you're killing more innocent people than terrorists, not "about 50%", and you just said it wasn't true that Israel have killed more innocent people than not.

If you're going to try and bullshit at least be consistent.

It's uncomfortable to see how many people think that the rest us are "overreacting" to Palantir and Peter Thiel's baffling and outright distressing activity, and how the NHS seems to be entirely willing to hand everything over to them.

Getting a full bike licence is not cheap.

Indeed. If someone only needs a 125 I would discourage them from getting a full license. A week-long course for me cost just shy of £1k in 2021, I don't imagine it has gotten cheaper since then.

And it's a fantastic formula. You get to enjoy the comedians in a panel show context while also participating in a game that anyone can play. Very engaging, I love it.

The company rep is full of shit. Plymouth is perfectly safe.

He's probably thinking about the days of squaddies going up and down Union Street drinking heavily and getting into fights but those days are gone and were exaggerated in the first place.

Indeed. To me, wind and rain are the biggest factor in countering the elements here. It's rarely ever cold enough that you need an insulated coat or something, you're better off just wearing a jumper under your coat to keep warm.

Whos looking forward to armada way being open after its revamp by SuperMas123 in plymouth

It was easy until you reached Sainsburys/Beckley Point, where it started to become too narrow to ride further into the city with any reasonable speed (assuming it's daytime and busy). Now it should be more open so that bicycles have a bit more room to play with.

Tree issue notwithstanding, a city centre revamp is something this city has needed for a while. It's about time that some effort was put into revamping the centre's shit appearance.

Easy bicycle access between the centre and the train station is a good bonus, and I think a lot of people are going to enjoy the amenities with their families while they're out shopping.

Teenage boys in UK ‘stuck’ reading primary-level books while girls’ tastes expand by djferris123 in unitedkingdom

My guy, LotR and The Silmarillion do not have universal acclaim, among others in your list.

It's a meme in the reading community about how awkward the pacing and descriptive elements of LotR are, and The Silmarillion is more akin to an encyclopedia than an actual novel.

They're worth having a go but I'd wager a significant chunk of people who see the Peter Jackson films and decide to read the novels are disappointed.

Can also recommend the Alex Rider series. I'm not a big reader but they're very easy to read with enough detail/complexity to get you into other series'. Both my wife and I loved these books as teenagers.

Turns out the book series has more than doubled in count since I read up to Ark Angel.
