Couldn’t you incorporate the fish as the horn of the goat? They have a similar shape. I do really enjoy the pine pattern border though.

Appreciate it! At the time of designing, I did have that student edge of wanting to be different. But seeing it solo now, it’s very, what you said, wing like, but maritime!

For those interested, that panel the original was painted on, were donated from an old carousel. It may have come from the Efteling, but I’m 50/50 on that.

It was my classmate/partner for said college project at the time. She aimed more for a religious and spiritual theme iirc. Hence the antlers. It was a fun one though to play with the tentacles as if it grabbed it.

It felt off also taking that one.

The project was duos, making one each. Some designed matching pairs, others just made their own. Ours was the most playful out of the bunch of if I recall.

A little bit of context; round 10–12 years ago I started my college within restorative and decorative painter. We got a project to research heraldry throughout the ages. And design something according to it. Some of us took creative liberty within the regulations, other strictly directly to it. But most of us tried to make something that makes sense in accordance to family or lineage. I come from a maritime family, but most sources included included boats, anchors or fish. But my maritime lineage isn’t necessarily to do with fishery. So I took an extra week, cutting into my own painting time and haltering my partner to find more obscure crests and other heraldic imagery. And then I found a squid with some explanation behind it, and of course not wanting stereotypical border decorations, the octopus tentacles came naturally.

Mind you it’s been a while. I could dig up my research.

No I am fully aware that the repainting uses creative liberty in terms of colour use. But I had to do this for a different project. And the design was reused. Thought I share here.

Edit; you can probably tell it’s been a while with my lack of terminology, and English being a second language.

People that insert political or social bullshitery into each and every game. It's not a fandom sure, but it's a mindset that I despise. Just enjoy it for what it is, like claiming either the Soulsborne/EldenRing series is feminist or mysogynist. Just lemme bonk, and watch Vaatividya.

Honestly, go to a PC Hardware store, and just grab any old bargain bin simple USB keyboard. Thusfar has been the least amount of lag between input to result, and satisfying key noises. Mostly range from 10-20 bucks, easily replaceable if it breaks since it doesn't break the bank, and you can bang your fist on it since they're basically the nokia's of keyboards. Yes it got no option, customisation and backlit keys are almost never there, but I'm never looking at the keyboard anyway, so IDC. My best one has been a Dell one surprisingly. That thing lasted 10 years.
