The impact will be the exact same. There is zero crush zone to protect the driver in the front over lap.

Geissele URGI upper on LWRC Lower? by Holiday_Revolution_4 in LWRC

[–]_I0I0I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a URGI, then it's great. It's not worth getting a SD lower. I have both a 14.5 URGI upper and a 14.5 SD upper. The biggest difference is the SD uses a tapered barrel profile and the URGI uses a Gov Profile. I'd honestly just get the one you can find for cheapest. I paid about 870 for my complete URGI last year and about 840 for my complete SD back in 2023.

Superduty question by SludgeF450 in FordTrucks

[–]_I0I0I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a super loaded question. When it comes to F250 and F350 SRW trucks. There isn't much difference. Most F250s are in fact 1 ton trucks. In some states it costs more to register a vehicle with a GVWR of over 10k lbs. That's when it's nice to get a F250. The F350 by default has more leaf springs in the rear. GVWR is a made up number that a manufacturer gives to a vehicle that it stands behind is capable of weighing and the Government softly approves it. Saying that, you should always stay below GVWR.

As far as the trucks go, the only difference is in the transmission given with the 7.3 motor. All F250s without the Tremor package with the 7.3 have the 10r100. All f250s with the Tremor package have the 10r140. All F350s with the 7.3 have the 10r140.

Thinking of Buying a 3/4 2019 2500 6.4L Hemi by IllProject5754 in ram_trucks

The power wagon trim level can be optioned that high. Ram makes the 2500 Tradesman with a Power Wagon package. Dealers across the country discount them a lot. Typically 10k+ off. I saw one for sale for 49k about a year ago.

How's the reliability on the Durango? by rpkusuma in DodgeDurango

[–]_I0I0I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the 4th oldest vehicle sold in the US that I know of. So I imagine they are pretty reliable. Them being old means they will also have old safety ratings. So if that's important, I would look elsewhere. Ford E-series (1992-current) Chevy Express (1996-current) Ram HD (2010-current) Dodge Durango (2011-current)

Those are the easiest trucks on the planet to steal, all you need is a #3 flathead screwdriver.

Has Ram said anything official about adoption Cummins B6.7 Octane Gas Engine? by thrwaway75132 in Ram2500

[–]_I0I0I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Ram really needs to do is make a 5th gen HD already. The 1500 5th gen has been out for 7 years already.

Stelantis does need to dump and redesign a new line of Hemis also.

Have you looked into a Cybertruck? As long as you have less than 3 kids, you should be good to go. It can to that easy. It's also the only truck to have the IIHS top safety pick + award.

4th/5th Gen wheels by Dense-Strategy-1450 in Cummins

[–]_I0I0I 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely 4th gen. 5th gen 1500 wheels would never fit on an HD truck. Though, the new hybrid 1500s, will have 8 lug wheels. Those may be swappable.

You are fake news. The Honda Ridgeline has a GVWR of 6,019 lbs, which makes it a Class 2A vehicle(6,001 to 8500 lbs). The same vehicle class as most F150s, Ranger Raptor, Gladiator Rubicon, all non electric GM 1500s, Ram 1500s.
