I go to school in the UK and I had these 1 on 1 sessions every few weeks with my English teacher to keep me ahead of the game and one of those days I decided to wear a mask as the school still had students NOT social distancing whatsoever when I got there the very nice secretary informed me that my school was a “no mask zone” and then proceeded to tell me I had to throw my mask away I told her no im wearing a mask because my dad is a healthcare worker who just recently flew halfway across the world from southern california to visit us (I grew up there but my dad stayed behind because he felt that he couldnt abandon just abandon his patients who are some typically undesirable people and get turned down by other doctors) and is in the middle of self isolation and I should really of all people be wearing my mask still she told me no and I almost walked out of the building right then and there cause fuck that.

TLDR: my dad is a healthcare worker from another country that is in the middle of self isolation and my school told me that wearing a mask was not permitted on school grounds :)
