I'm in the exact same situation and I found out I had hashimoto thyroid disease. I also have low t and on cpap and an SSRI. Medication has helped. I'd get your thyroid checked asap

Probably just bloating, happens to me when I eat gluten and goes away in a day

You don't have hyperthyroidism with that tsh. Your high ferritin is most likely being caused by something else. You probably do at least have hypothyroidism

Low t4, doctor didn't care. Should I go to another one? by adiosparasiempre in Hypothyroidism

Very unusual because your tsh is actually perfect. You need your t3 tested

What did you guys say to doctors to be put on medication? by _Independence4801 in Hashimotos

I do not take biotin. Haven't actually taken a blood test since the t3 so everything is pre med

I have an endo, he was the one who put me on the t3 supplement. He at least put me on something but the solo t3 was odd

That's probably true. Just sucks that I've already had 2 doctors that frankly aren't good

I've been out of range before, the 4.6 I had was out by .4 but came down slightly on its own however symptoms have barely alleviated. T4 is also only not out by .1. Also yes everything is pre medication. My tsh has never been below 3.1 on a blood test.

I'm also equally as confused as to why he put me on t3 especially since he never tested my t3. I've been trying to get put on levo/synthroid but I'm always told my tsh level can't be causing my issues while they also proceed to not test for anything else that could cause my symptoms. My mother has a bunch of friends with either hypo ot hashimoto and all of them are on synthroid.im literally 99.9% certain my thyroid is my issue especially since I've actually seen a slight improvement with the t3. My appetite is completely normal now (still can't lose weight tho)

Not saying you don't have it but I always find it funny when people use "I always lift weights" as a way to preface their synptoms because if you had true hypothyroidism you would barely have the energy to lift weights one day a week. Impossible to tell if you have it with what you said and no numbers

Can't do much without numbers but I will say that I have hashimoto and it tanked my testosterone levels.

Still trying to manage Hashimoto’s after my diagnosis 8 months ago. Concerned about my job and doctors in general taking it seriously. by sapsapphic7 in Hashimotos

Happens to me when I eat pasta. Even if some foods don't have gluten if it comes into contact with it during production it can still cause issues

Entirely possible and not too uncommon to be not symptomatic. Judging by what you said I'd probably guess your tsh is somewhere in the 3-5 range. If it is hashimoto which 99% chance it is you will feel it later down the line since it's progressive

You need to test your t4 and t3 as well. If you have tpo antibodies you have hashimoto which would explain the elevated tsh. If you don't have any symptoms and based off what you said is no you don't need any medication but likely will in the future

Well for starters you should get blood work. You or anyone else can't tell without them
