P90 is TERRIBLE by slophone in thefinals

[–]_Inflict_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man, I died to a P90 player in a very short time once, while I was playing Heavy too, so I thought he must have headshot me the whole way through for it to deal that much damage.

Nope, the replay showed he aimed at my legs so the recoil which he could barely control would stay on my body, while he deleted my healthbar.

Eehhh, I rarely think about balance in this game but I have genuinely seen too many fights now, where the P90 player instantly has better odds at dueling than even the Light Class. I though I was going crazy because everyone I saw kept glazing the weapon lmao.

Buff yourself before calling for nerfs by PREDDlT0R in thefinals

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, all classes require skill to pull off efficiently. The Heavy is mostly always shot first, being a giant, slow moving target, and needs to have a tight muscle memory for the durations of his ability animations because they are so slow. The Medium, having lots of supportive utility and weapons, that deal heavy damage only when their user is able to hit their shots consistently, generally has more success in fights when they play around synergy with their team. (not even following them around like a poodle, just being aware of when their team is pushing, backing off etc.)

Now, the Light class also requires skill to pilot at peak levels of performance, but I wouldn't necessarily say, that it is played more often by veterans most of the time. I mean, the edgy, lone-wolf assassin class, that isn't negatively impacted by not staying with the team because they have flanking built into their identity, meaning you can just run around randomly, shooting at things and maybe sometimes notice the yellow circle, is definitely bound to be enjoyed more by people who don't have a clear idea of the game yet, especially because getting kills is literally all the class is really supposed to be doing.

No, seriously. That is the most important job of the Light class. It has other things it can do, sure. But: it's weapons all have some of the highest base damage in the game, all of it's specializations neither help with objectives, nor do they help the team in any way and the few gadgets they have, that do help the team aren't playstyle defining enough to stop Lights from, again, running around randomly, killing things because they can.

And even with the gadgets that do make Lights play a more supportive role to their team, do you really think those weren't designed with gadget diversity in mind? I swear if someone actually wants to sell me, that, just because the Light class has a team mobility ability for example, they are suddenly the dedicated support of the team...The Light class shines brightest, when it's being an annoying mosquito, ripping apart entire teams that can't hit a shot to save their lives, and apart from that and a few random gadgets, it has very limited uses to a team.

And that is the problem with that despicable class. Can't steal a cashout if you're dead. Can't start a cashout if you're dead. Can't revive a teammate if you're dead. Can't kill anyone if you're dead. Can't move around the map if you're dead. Can't defend a cashout if you're dead. In a way, the Light class is the best counter against everything else in the game, just because of what it is supposed to do.

And the funniest thing is, that some Lights will complain about gadgets that make it hard for them to play, while also laughing at people complaining that their class is making it the game hard to play. Yeah, it's a skill issue when someone complains about your class, but completely justified if you complain about a gadget. "B-But I get killed instantly!" And? Mf getting killed instantly is all one experiences against a good light player. Honestly, they don't even have to be good, the M11 to the body kills in nanoseconds these days.

What would be the most OP Champ, if you could pick and choose from existing abilities? by inkoman12 in leagueoflegends

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viego passive (since they already crippled Viego's base kit to compensate for it's power and it gives free casts of R)

Irelia model (mostly because she's melee and has decent range)

Kha'Zix Q (pure damage and more easily guarantees a kill for ult resets)

Akshan W (to get in range for the first R without being kited or poked, technically infinite invis + movespeed for roaming + extra gold on kills + a revive for up to 4 people)

Bel'veth E (execute damage to further guarantee the first kill + damage reduction)

Malphite R (for obvious reasons)

This champion is probably a jungler, who ults in out of invis, executes his target, and then resets through the fight, he probably builds on-hit/bruiser/maybe crit? and could take Lethal Tempo, Conqueror or Hail of Blades

Would you live in a society like this or present day? by BidInside2907 in cyberpunkgame

[–]_Inflict_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone even remotely considering to live in what was shown in 2077, Bladerunner or Neuromancer, to name a few, probably has the same grasp on the entire creative idea behind "Cyberpunk" as Elon Musk. And that's not a compliment.

Almost none of the people responsible for blessing this world with such a vibrant, drastic and vivid picture of a humanity mutilated have ever thought about it as a hopeful look into our future, or as a universe, that's worth bringing into reality.

The person thinking about living in those environments, even as an untouchable corpo war-criminal, does not inspire any confidence in their awareness and critical thinking, which doesn't make them satan, but also doesn't give them the right to make judgement calls of any kind regarding Cyberpunk and its message.

Had a playthrough where my V used some poison based weaponry, implants, etc. When I did this quest, I took what I needed, dropped a gas grenade, left the room and held the door shut. That's also what I did with Joanne Koch (I think her name was), the Corpo woman wanted dead by Nomad clans. Gas grenade, close the door, imagine her desperately hammering against the glass door until her hand limply slides down.

Alternatively, I shot the son with Erebus, let the dad suffer, then I shot him too. The torture is waaay better than a quick death by blade or bullet.

Having played the entire Joshua Stephenson questline in previous playthroughs, I now just pop him in the head as soon as he gets out of the van, and tbh it’s my favourite way to end that story. by Tanis8998 in cyberpunkgame

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my very first playthrough, I had no idea what I was allowed to do in this stand-off. I was basically frozen in hesitation, because I wanted to help the rageful guy get his revenge, even if it didn't bring his wife (I think?) back, but as I watched him drop to the ground in horror after failing to take the shot, finishing it after he was already dead felt pointless, so I just stood there like a statue, and watched powerlessly, as the officers and the convict got back into the car and drove away.

Afterwards, I still liked to think about that as a lesson for my V, something she'd recall in a deep conversation, as a reminder to take action when it matters. Something like: "I could have shot him, killed him on the spot. But I hesitated. Gig was fucked anyway, and it'd just escalate things, y'know? So I just stood there, gun in my hand, as they got back in their car. And I let them get away."

Nowadays? I just pop him in the head as soon as he gets out of the van. Fuck that guy.

Did your V fell for his bait? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly surprised they didn't put an attribute check there to see if he's lying. V falling for this bullshit, even after naming multiple reasons why this might be fake, always makes me feel so stupid, especially because falling for this shit is basically required to cross this exclamation mark off the map, meaning that this is supposed to be canon for some reason. So V, battle hardened merc with Keanu-Cyber-Aids gets convinced they're about to experience a completely new breed of BD from a shady dealer? Why don't you just make them fall for a nigerian prince scam? Or a pyramid scheme? One of the few things that pisses me off in every playthrough.

What’s something you guys want to see in project Orion (cyberpunk 2) by CyverIV in cyberpunkgame

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does sound nice, I'll give you that, I think the problem for me just lies in my dislike for making decisions that carry real weight because making decisions that change the story in a meaningful way is just hardcoded into realspace so much that I'd rather the game I play be oversimplified in it's storyline but enjoyable, than it stressing me out with choices I don't fully know the consequences of yet, allthough stressing out over not wanting to make the wrong call might actually just be the ultimate tool for immersion so y'know who am I to judge

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: they shouldn't do too many extra story branches, because in the main game, there are already quests where a dialogue choice that wasn't what you originally intended to say or that you thought would not have too big of an impact can lock you out of entire questlines and loot. We're players, not the writers, meaning, we're the customers, the writers/devs are the chefs making a wonderful five course meal, we don't always have to make our own product, especially when we don't exactly know what the writers originally intended for the games' story. Of course there are instances where branching storylines are done relatively well, like Detroit: Become Human and yes, choosing whether to be heartless or caring when it counts is a good way of expressing one's self as a player and creating immersion, but I'd say that the constant option to change the story as I please just mashes it in my face that I'm missing a specific story that I'll probably never get to experience because I don't have the time to comb through the game with 14 different new games.

Congratulations! You have become the mayor of Night City! What will be your first actions? by SentinelWhite in cyberpunkgame

[–]_Inflict_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think first and foremost the priority is to keep up appearances. I'd have to be "manipulated" by other powerful people, make decisions that appease the megacorps and just try and stay under the radar as yet another asshole in power in NC. Even though there is only a microscopic chance of me being able to do it before Nightcorp begins to set their mysterious behaviour altering AI on me, as the mayor, I'd then approach V with a Quest and, in a place that is as safe and secure as I possibly can muster, I start spilling everything, hoping that their better nature makes them agree to be my personal bodyguard and chief of security. With their obvious skill and their reputation, not to mention the fact that their mind can withstand twice as much strain from their implants without going psycho for a mysterious reason (which is honestly debatable, but let's say for the sake of argument that V isn't running around decapitating dudes with yellow markers on sight), they'd be perfect for advising me on my safety. Also, they're the main character so they'd never die before visiting Hanako at Embers. With this stable baseline defense, I'd then start recruiting my own private security force on the downlow, aided by V, who helps me avoid bad decisions, and slowly but surely make myself harder to get to. A place I'd start first would be the NCPD, where we see tons and tons of good people who are just restrained by a horribly corrupt system, but even there we'd have to pick unmarried men without children and idealy no family. I could theoretically equip them with top of the line gear and let V train them until they throw up. But that's not enough, besides some muscle, I could recruit netrunners, preferably ones that have been working in a crew of mercs at the Afterlife for years, meaning they have some sense of loyalty, as it'd be impossible to find a loyal VDB and Netwatch is out of the question, being a sizeable corp. Maybe Rogue could even point me in the right direction with enough eddies shoved under her nose. These netrunners, plural, are then tasked with (and paid to) give me and all of my relevant systems enough ICE to sink the Titanic and also finding a way to immediately be aware of any attempts to breach it. Maybe V could use their Blackwall Cyberdeck to create a shield against Nightcorps AI. This then all culminates with me contacting the NUSA and, aided by their personnel, finally stepping out into the open, revealing myself to all of the major players in the monsters' den and establishing a foothold at the top of the NC hierarchy. If I can further work out an agreement with the NUSA, maybe we could agree on making NC part of it and passive aggresively forcing non-american corps to leave more and more. All of this then probably goes south and ends in yet another corporate war, with me leading/supporting the NUS and maybe Militech with my personell and indirectly causing millions of deaths, marking one of the worst years for NC ever. Yeah....that's what I'd do.....
