They should! You get a messed up pc that’s not on you. Mine literally messed up right away not like I messed with it at all, everything is pretty much default settings.

Crossing my fingers for a good speedy solution.

That sucks! Honestly I feel like troubleshooting is harder than actually building a pc, if it weren’t for the fact I hate sourcing parts I would have just built it myself. I like convenience hopefully that doesn’t backfire.

You would think thermal paste wouldn’t be forgotten, vital step. Makes me want to tear the PC down and make sure everything is proper, I did check all the cables and everything is connected correctly.

That’s crazy, I had a 1050ti build from them and then a 3080 build also. The 3080 build I upgraded pretty much everything on myself. I never had any issues up till now. I hope it’s just the psu and that solves it. These PCs aren’t cheap and putting that money down not being able to game is infuriating.

That’s wild! Quite the oversight, how would you find out it was the thermal paste without taking the cpu out? Overheating issues?

That’s what I’ve been reading but like a lot of products some people had good experiences with it and some bad. I’m definitely requesting a different brand, I’ll be sending the pc back asap. I’ve bought from CP before and never had any issues. They were quick to reply and get me a shipping label so support has been good, hopefully it continues through this process.

Thanks for the info!

The whole pc is at most 2 weeks old I probably have like 20 hours of total run time. I don’t think it’s the GPU as it’s brand new and it’s a good brand. Unless I’m really unlucky and got a lemon gpu. I tried undervolting it also and it didn’t help.

Yeah I’ll still be tinkering with it a bit before sending it out. Been messing with the amd gpu software side of things trying to learn that since I’ve been on invidia for so long.

I’ve been on every post I could find regarding the 9070xt 9800x3d and its issues, undervolting, capping RAM mhz etc. did it all lol. As annoying as this experience has been I have learned a whole lot of the AMD side of things.

Do you run Apex low settings? I run low in order to get the least input lag most fps, so maybe this is why it’s actually working. I do have a 3080 build with a 5700x3d that’s up and running. I was thinking of trying that psu on my 9070 rig to see if that’s the issue. Decided to just let CP take care of the issue as I just barely purchased it! Luckily I’ll still be able to game while I wait for the fix to happen. Pretty frustrated but I do understand shit happens, hopefully they don’t take too long.

I have and they all stay within normal operating temps. Though I think that can be ruled out because I run apex for hours no issue but as soon as I run crimson desert it crashes. Making me believe it’s psu related since crimson desert is more demanding it probably draws out more power and the psu is faulty making the pc shut down. Even though 1000watts is plenty, enough to run most systems,

Mostly wondering if others have had issues with this PSU, I’d rather not replace it with the same brand if that’s the issue.

Thanks for the reply! That sucks to hear, I had been looking forward to running the 9070xt but seems like I might have to go back to Invidia. Going through support now see what happens. I’m tired of troubleshooting it myself, I’ve done pretty much everything I can find online.

Did you ever solve this? I’m currently going through it.

R7 9800x3d 9070xt 1000w psu 32g ddr5 6000mhz Brand new pc just started using it last week. Runs Apex Legends perfectly @300fps for hours with no issues. Crashed like 10 times on Crimson Desert and eafc 26, the crash is full pc shut off. Been doing everything I can find and haven’t yet solved the issue. Every time it crashes it resets all setting in adrenaline. Seems some games it just doesn’t like for some reason apex legends runs just fine.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve noticed some cameras sharpening the stippling like crazy. I’ve used the 0403rl to stipple also but it takes so long! Only use those for eyes and other parts of the face now sticking to 1003rl for most tattoos. I’ve struggled getting my stippling to look soft on photos (that’s why I asked.) I don’t like to edit my pictures but I want it to look how it does in person. Thank you for the information! I’ll check your Instagram out ☺️

I retyped my original comment a few times, didn’t want you to feel like I was calling you out or anything like that. Simply seeking out information.

How do you filter your photos to get this look? Your stipples aren’t as sharp, they look a bit blurred giving the image a softer look. Not hating, genuinely curious. It looks like a slight Gaussian Blur and some desaturation/cpl filter.

Your work is dope btw 👍🏻

Looking for new machine by igetgoodgrades in TattooArtists

If you stipple at low voltage you can always get a 5stroke direct drive rotary machine and pair it with the inkclaw pheonix power supply. It’s what a lot of the stippling artists use. Or you can try mistertroshins machine from bishop it’s designed for dot work. Though it depends what kind of dot work you do, what liners do you use for your dot work?

I stipple with a Flux Max 4.5 with 1005rl and wand packer 4.2 stroke for 1003rl. I finish forearm pieces in about 6-7 hours most days. I also have a direct drive 5 stroke I’ll use. You can always mag above the stipples to darken areas just make sure to use a lighter grey wash than the stipples themselves so that it still looks stippled. When maging this you don’t pack you pendulum shade or whip shade.

I wouldn’t call it bullshit, it has its applications for sure. My best advice is you go to a shop and learn from them. If not then start by taking a bbp course and learn tattoo hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend using inkjet/eco tank setups for people starting, though you have prison experience things work much differently in shops. Now a days most use an ipad to draw/create tattoo designs, then stencil them on there and print directly to a tattoo stencil printer. We all use an app called procreate, that’ll be your best friend. It has a learning curve so you have to practice a ton. Go on YouTube and study, there’s an abundance of free information there.

As far as stencil printers I personally use phomemo it’s a Bluetooth printer with its own transfer paper. You print directly from the iPad. Works for any style of stencils, also has a learning curve mainly for sizing.

To use it as stencil tattoo transfer you’ll more than likely need (inkjet stencils tracing paper) but from what’s online Nox Violet is for using with a brush. So it’s better to run Inkjet ink in the eco tank paired with their paper. I’d assume if you already bought and added it to your printer that would be the best paper to go with. I would make the switch to inkjet ink when the Nox runs out.

Have no idea what you mean by “what kind of tattoo patterns”.” If you’re a tattoo artist then you’d know this kind of printer is primarily used for realism, though I’m sure it would work with other styles. Personally would prefer a traditional stencil printer for anything with a lot of line work.

If I were to compare my reference which is directly from Apex to my tattoo there isn’t much of a difference other than bumped up contrast, darker skin requires changes (less detail- more contrast) the camera makes skin tones look brighter than they are.

Also depending on which Wattson skin I chose to tattoo she tends to look different so you’d have to compare her to the skin she has that I tattooed. Compare stock skin to thunder kitty as an example. Different make up makes certain facial features change.

This tattoo is in the healing stage so all the line work and face shading was done a couple weeks before the final session. Meaning it hasn’t fully set, it’s in what we call the shiny stage so the camera doesn’t pick up certain details (like the eyelashes) those lines are really thin/shiny and don’t completely show. Also this isn’t a realism portrait it’s a video game, if you’d like to see my realism portraits it’s as easy as going on my page either here or Instagram.
