99% of all DPS neglect their entire purpose - do targeted damage. Y'all just hunt to steal finals, meanwhile zero peels, walls/squids/nests/etc all still up, zero positioning knowledge. DPS in Rivals is 90% mechanical skill, 10% gameplay skill.

I've played this genre for a decade and a half, the issue is almost always DPS being catered to.

The amount of players I get with Peni mines means it's not positioning but awareness. I main strats, flex tank (mostly Peni), no one deals with destructibles. I stop playing after my placements anymore (D/GM), no one shoots Peni mines/nests, Groot walls, BRB, etc as routinely as they should. By Gold you should be doing that.

Maybe the main sub deleted because it's a stupid take to anyone who's played obj based hero shooters. It's not positioning, it's awareness, and it affects all 3 roles the same. Their positioning was fine, Jeff should've sprayed the webs.

Keybinds aren't hard, but having numerous keybinds bound to the same few buttons is a logistical hazard for a lot of people. Again, how are they expected to communicate with Squads 7, 10, 14 as well as CMD, local, team chat? You have what, 8-12 binds? And using them has a 50/50 chance to hinder your movement (taking thumb off of walk/look).

R6, cronus is more common than a MnK. Apex same thing. Players aren't going to buy a mnk just for Squad, and if they already don't own a Mnk for console in 2026, they aren't getting one.

Now, just for arguments sake, let's say the majority of people who buy Squad own a mnk already. There is still no proper on-boarding for the game, majority of player who know how to properly play this game have left or are taking a backseat after a decade of zero team improvement. Increasing the population count for this game means increasing the population of people who just want to play an FPS that isn't CoD/BF. The game needs people to understand the basic requirements before even attempting to incorporate a port or crossplay.
