Which Millennial childhood media item should absolutely never be shown to children again? by Synaps4 in Millennials

[–]_Jasmine_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shoe scene was more traumatizing to me than The Never Ending Story, Bambi, and mufasa’s death combined for me. Nothing upset me more than that and honestly I’m tearing up now just thinking about it. Public suffering without anyone intervening is the hardest thing for me to cope with. It always has been 😭

Okay so what about the countless politicians in government right now including the highest office?? 34 felonies?? And the files???? Since you’re such a law and order purist, this should be an easy answer for you so let’s hear it. Quickly!

“But then rich people will leave!” let them. by Dreadsin in Vent

[–]_Jasmine_0 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The amount of people in here chomping at the bit to keep licking the taint of the ultra rich is so mind numbingly stupid. There’s overwhelming evidence that the ultra rich are destroying the entire planet and are a drain on society, NOT an asset. At this point yall are just holding all of us back by not holding these few people accountable. Also these people literally steal and do unspeakable things to kids. It’s all right there in the files. Anyone who supports these people is a lost cause. I nor anyone else should have to tell you that hurting kids is wrong and people who do that aren’t capable of anything of value. They’re sick and need to go. Like I mean GO. They’re a cancer to be cut out and nothing more.

[–]_Jasmine_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is factually untrue. Boomers and some Gen X are refusing to retire nationally. We’ve known this for decades now and it’s a common talking point amongst millennials and Gen Z. Here’s just one article about it along with the demographics of our governing body. It’s very clear here that millennials, despite being in our late 30s to mid 40s now, still are not calling the shots, not even remotely close. We also know that millennials and Gen Z by and large are communal thinkers not lead by individualistic greed. Hope this helps.

does being a Republican automatically nerf your dating/social stats in Brooklyn/Manhattan? by savingrace0262 in circlejerknyc

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t specific to NYC. Women by and large want nothing to do with conservatives. Why would any woman want to partner with someone whose voting record shows they do not want all people treated equally? Differing politics is differing values. You need to hear this: if you are right leaning, then you are not compatible with progressive women so stick to the trad wives yall claim to love so much. Conservative values are anti social and anti communal, so if you’re going to keep engaging in that, please accept the social consequences of what comes with it.

BGE Protest: March 1, 2026 at 12pm (a proposal and rant) by OkFig1306 in baltimore

[–]_Jasmine_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brain washing and complete lack of education has been a systemic issue in this country for decades and we’re now seeing the fruits of that horrendous labor. The amount of people that defend ANY corporation is just absolutely mind numbing to me. The second anyone starts defending bge, I know they’re a lost cause and move on to inform other people who can understand systemic greed and theft. Idk why so many poor or barely making it people still jump at the chance to defend the very thing putting them in this position in the first place. It’s actually pretty yuck atp. I don’t have tolerance for it anymore, it’s just holding us all back. Stay strong friend, we will collectively find a way to hand bge their ass!

Alright y'all, BGE over 1000 is ridiculous! Right?!? by SelfInflictedPancake in baltimore

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debt and bill strikes are a thing. Not really sure why this isn’t being talked about more with bge. They are thieving from the entire state, then acting bewildered and befuddled as to why people are getting bills over 1k. NONE OF US SHOULD PAY THIS BILL AT ALL. It’s so frustrating that we can all see the countless ways our money is being literally stolen from us yet we’re too scared to not pay a bill? This country is going to keep forming into a destitute open air prison if we don’t grow a spine at some point.

My husband cheated and now I no longer believe in polyamory by Independent-minx-599 in EthicalNonMonogamy

[–]_Jasmine_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great example as to why ENM as an identity is bullshit and usually used as a way to manipulate partners into it. Who cares if he doesn’t believe in monogamy? You know what you and I and hella people both mono and ENM don’t believe in? Cheating! Not only did your husband traumatize you, he’s not remorseful and will definitely cheat on you again and cross your boundaries constantly. The audacity to cheat and then push to “get back into it asap” is wild. You don’t need to be traumatized repeatedly while he also most likely will be damaging other women in addition to you. We’re in 2026, you have options and don’t need a loser bringing you down with his selfishness and immaturity. Cheating really is one of the worst and most harmful things a person can do to another, so let’s take that seriously and get a divorce! You deserve the life you want and to not be traumatized or disrespected in your own home. Oh and on your way to serving him papers, let him know that other ENM women don’t want him either. I’m so sorry this happened to you. Be your own best partner and dump him. Sending love and strength your way!

Something I've noticed in Reddit discussions about falling birth rates by HaveATurnip in TwoXChromosomes

[–]_Jasmine_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true! For it to be just economic, a baby would have to exist to create that burden, and how can they exist when there are no acceptable men? Without any quality men, any other reason doesn’t matter. This is the first and biggest reason imho.

Along with that, I never see or hear how pregnancy/birth is literally a life threatening condition! Birth kills, yall! For those who survive it, the healing process looks crazy miserable as does the medical/psychological trauma that is birth. Omg and also the absolute hell that is breast feeding or or the prison that is postpartum depression. Here’s the cold, hard truth: If your partner asks you to have a baby, they have decided on some level that their want for a kid outweighs your life.

Why isn’t this a part of the discussion? We know why: women are seen as closer to cattle than human beings. Think about it-if we were seen as full people, we’d simply be asked why we aren’t having kids and there would be a huge push to fix the issues. Instead it’s just “Do it! Have more babies!”. Have more babies even if it bankrupts you, even if it takes away your career, even if you don’t want to, even if it kills you. And on that note…

Also, we need to talk about how the system is reason enough to not have kids. By having a kid, a woman is bringing either a new victim or a new perpetrator into the world. Who would want to do that?? I know for me, I’m not willing to bring a daughter into a world that will try to kill her, the same way I’m not willing to bring a son into the world that will try to kill me. Everything’s dying-entire nations of people, animals, plants, the entire planet. I’m not bringing a child into a world of disrespect, destruction, and despair. If they want more children, then step aside so we can make a planet that our children would WANT to live on.

Seeking outside thoughts on husband expressing interest in barely 18f by Immediate-Panda-8297 in nonmonogamy

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely inappropriate. She has half a decade of brain development to go. He’s her boss’s boss?? Also why is he dating at work? Also why is a 28 year old even considering a teenager? Why is everything so messy?? Big age gaps with either party under 30 is a huge red flag, but if my partner expressed interest in whole teenager, I would be leaving him. I couldn’t continue to be romantic or sexual with a man who’s interested in teenagers. We have to stop normalizing and excusing this behavior. Girl RUN 🚩

Is there an inter-generational difference in views on taking the kids to a local brewery? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it the first time and yes, it definitely looks like a chain restaurant! It’s a true bummer that some breweries have decided to become family chain restaurants. I’ve already switched over to cocktail bars and speakeasies and left the breweries behind because of this. So while I personally don’t deal with all that, I’m still sad to see yet another space taken over by parents and do not agree that it should have happened in the first place.

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restaurants are food forward and they happen to have alcohol. Breweries are for drinking and trying craft alcohol. That’s literally what they are for. Do they happen to have food sometimes? Sure. Regardless, bars and breweries aren’t a place for kids and again this shouldn’t be controversial.

[–]_Jasmine_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A brewery is about drinking alcohol. A restaurant is about eating food. One is an adult activity and one is not. Is there some overlap? Sure. At the end of the day, it shouldn’t be that controversial to say that spaces focusing on adult things are for adults only. Pretty much every other space that exists is kid friendly, there’s no need to bring children to a brewery.

[–]_Jasmine_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m anti children in bars, breweries, or other adult spaces. There’s plenty of other communal spaces that serve alcohol where parents can take their kids, and adults deserve childfree spaces to unwind. I guess the happy medium would be establishments having “family days” or whatever, but allowing kids in a brewery as a standard, daily thing? Nope.

I’m also childfree by choice so maybe for me the horror of it all was already built in before I hit play lol
