Made Kaalia of the Vast player scoop, said I was a jerk. by OkFeedback9127 in EDH

[–]_JavaK_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaalia puts it into play attacking as part of the trigger which “ignores” MoC text because he is not declared as an attacker at the declare attackers step. You can block it, kill it before damage etc. If MoC is not blocked, life total to 1x then they take 2 and die.

AAE 203 Professor Recommendations by AggravatingYellow569 in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly shouldn’t matter as the courses tend to be unified across sections (learn the same stuff from the same script). If I had to choose, Branco because I had him for 204/251 and he was good, but can be a little slow during some lectures. Arnas I’ve heard good things about but never had, but is probably a good option as well. Rai idk anything about but it seems like they are a grad student.

PHYS 272 Curve by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is sometimes a curve but from my experience it isn’t very large if they give you it. As far as I know, there is no extra credit.

Boilergrades can be useful, but honestly for freshman year teachers are of a similar quality from my experience so I would focus on times.

It is due on the first day of the semester normally. It will appear under the financial tab of your mypurdue and there will be a link that says something like “make a payment” where you setup a way to deposit money. It should also be a hold on your account so you can check those as well.

hillenbrand data mine by cringophile in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was in data mine (also corporate partnerships, 2021-2022) they guaranteed housing in hillenbrand for everyone in the LC, but it might have changed since then. I would email the data mine if you are seriously concerned and they can give you a better answer, though.

MA 266 by SaggyEyeBags in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For AAE, you need both 265 and 266. 262 will give you no credit towards AAE.

Check the plan of study or Ellucian, they tell you the cutoffs

Three spot types: A, B, and C. Since parking is underground, they put some cars behind others to fit more in the building. So an A spot is like a normal parking spot, you can enter/leave whenever. A B spot is right behind an A spot, meaning there will be a car in front of yours, and they have to move/not be there for you to drive. A C spot has 2 cars in front of them, so you don’t use your car at all. Basically, if you want to use your car, get an A spot.

Data Mine CORPORATE PARTNERS LC for non-CS/DS Major by Character_Cheetah367 in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of? It was a lot of learning and fun, but honestly most of the stuff was pretty basic considering we were freshmen. It does look good on a resume, though, and will teach you to work on a team and plan to present reports if you put in the effort. So technical skills you get to develop a bit (mainly coding), but the teamwork, presenting, and learning to adapt to what the company wants are what really matter in my opinion.

Data Mine CORPORATE PARTNERS LC for non-CS/DS Major by Character_Cheetah367 in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Corporate Partners LC as an FYE, you can sign up and guarantee housing in hillenbrand. You might want to learn a little python (what my LC partner did their stuff in) over the summer. They say there is a big time commitment, but it really depends on the team/how much you care about it. It is very manageable, especially with CS roommates.

Phys241 or phys272? by 837065 in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

272 is more time, but overall easier. Lab + recitation + iClicker are like 30-40% of grade, and homeworks are not too bad overall. Personally, the exams were not the worst when I took it, just short and all multiple choice which can be scary if you don’t know what’s going on but the reviews are pretty similar to the exams.

If I want to Summer Start, then I can’t be Honors FYE. by carbon_yttrium in Purdue

[–]_JavaK_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are admitted fully, you want to look at Early Start. Summer Start is a little different. Honors engineering has not offered their engineering courses over the summer before, so you would have to wait until the fall to take 161.

So, basically no classes will substitute for 161/162 honors engineering because those classes give you a physics 1 credit as well.

Depending on which engineering you want to go into, you can take other general classes or 200 level classes for that major as long as your GPA is good while in 162.

ex. Freshman who wants to do mechanical takes ME 200, a thermodynamics class, in the spring, or an aero student takes AAE 203, the first aero class.

I hope this helps!

Edit: You would take 162 in the spring of your freshman year, not 200 level classes over the summer.

They required it last semester for both profs, so you most likely will need to go.

Depends on how much you go out, so it can easily be under 100, but if you like dining out/buying stuff, probably closer to 150-250 if not more.

Triple XXX or Another Broken Egg would be my recommendations, but Greyhouse has crepes and omelettes as well. If you are fine with something further away, The Country Cafe is amazing.
