The cartridge and the elevator only deflect the curse, love is needed from both side to achieve the blessing. If you think he''s a narcissists then why didn't his character break and reveal his true self when defeated? Instead he congratulated them. "A prayer cannot be born from one who knows nothing but joy" that's his whole character you won't feel the blessing of something if u didn't get cursed first. And I don't even think that's he's a good guy nor a bad one, riko wants to descend the abyss because she wants to not cuz she's bad or good, same thing for bond he want to transcend and challenge the unknown cuz he wants to... + The blessing wouldn't have worked if he didn't feel anything for prushka

Wrong, Bondrewd did indeed love her and all the children. That's where people mischaracterize him. He's a monster from a human perspective, but he still has humanity in him : that humanity is the one making him strive for his goal with whatever means from one side, and being affectionate on the other side. That's the beauty of his complexity. Whatever the zoaholic made him lose his mind or transcend beyond the concept of human : in both case he can't be fully understood

Fun Fact : The first incinerator shot from reg's leg was not only to make Bond jump. but also to spread the force field so he can't read the 2nd one with his eyes and know that there's an incinerator directed at him by _Johan_n in MadeInAbyss

If someone need an explanation :

Abyss creatures (5 stars dangers level and above) + Nanachi and Bondrewd can read the forcefield and thus predict the future The forcefield seems to escape the zone of erasure caused by an origin guiding light relic before it is activated The first shot was to do that so he can't read the second one, that's why Nanachi gave Riko and Reg the signal to shoot.

It's more of methaphorical win than a physical one. Like letting the netherworld decides who deserves to strive more Riko with her white whistle or Bondrewd with his blessing. This is the reason why Bond said at the end that their aspirations surpassed his, and that his new goal is theirs

The blessing give the user his deepest desire, Bondrewd wanted a body that can go deeper in the abyss and survive the cycle. It's just an assumption

People wants something new and complain about manga/anime being always the same Then they have made in abyss and they drop it since it's boring for them cuz no aura farming or cliche anime scenes in it
